Su Shishu, born in March 1949, is a Manchu and the chairman of the 7th Chinese Calligraphers Association. Deputy Director of the Painting and Calligraphy Office of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Honorary Chairman of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, Librarian of the Central Research Institute of Culture and History, Honorary President of the Cultural Relics Publishing House, Honorary Director of the Institute of Calligraphy of the Academy of Arts and Design, Tsinghua University, Doctoral Supervisor and Professor. On February 2, 2022, he participated in the "Hundred Flowers Welcome Spring" party and greeted Sun Xiaoyun and others on behalf of the Chinese Calligraphers Association.
Su Shishu loved calligraphy and seal carving since childhood, worshiped Mr. Liu Boqin as a teacher when he was a teenager, and learned from Mr. Qigong after being young and middle-aged. He is engaged in the creation and research of calligraphy and seal carving, and has studied the bricks and stones of Han portraits, as well as the inscriptions and rubbings of the past dynasties. Calligraphy and learning all kinds of bodies, good at chicken hair as a seal, very distinctive, smooth grass, very strong charm. Seal carving sect Qin law Han, implying their own meaning in the ancient style.
After years of hard work, Su Shishu finally found a combination of gold and stone and bookish flavor, and the two are truly organically combined. This combination manifests itself on two levels.
