On May 1, Beijing time, the new coach of the University of Arkansas, John Calipari, has received a transfer commitment from Jonas Aidoo, an inside line from the University of Tennessee.

Edu, 6-11 (2.11m), is the University of Tennessee's rebounding leader, averaging 11.4 points, 7.3 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game in his junior season while shooting 51.5 percent from the field, and was named to the SEC League's Second Team and the SEC's All-Defensive Team.

Edu, a native of Durham, North Carolina, also seriously considered Baylor University and the University of North Carolina, but the University of Arkansas eventually won him with a hefty NIL offer. He is the fifth player Calipari has received in the offseason and the first outside of a former University of Kentucky player or signing.

The University of Arkansas Wildboars have acquired former Wildcats Croatian big man Zvonimir Ivisic, as well as former University of Kentucky rebels who follow Calipari in the Class of 2024, five-star point guard Boogie Fland, wings Karter Knox and Billy Richmond.
