On April 29th, Tianruncheng Primary School, a branch of Langya Road Primary School in Nanjing, held the 5th "Leave a Poem for Childhood" Poetry Festival of the "Poetry Run Children's Heart" Poetry Conference. Relevant leaders of Nanjing Municipal Department of Teaching and Research, Jiangbei New Area Education and Social Security Bureau, leaders and parents of Tianrun City Primary School of Nanjing Langya Road Primary School Branch, and student representatives participated in this event.

The poetry conference kicked off with the wonderful performance of "Thousand Words". Zhang Guomin, the principal of the school, first delivered a welcome speech. He expressed his gratitude to the leaders and parents who came to the scene, and hoped that through the poetry conference, the poetic life of children would be guarded and children's yearning for beauty would be awakened.
During the performance
"Painting in the Snow", "Mulan Ci" and other programs took turns. The children performed the charm of poetry in the form of chanting, singing and dancing, and skits. The thousand-year-old rhyme of classic Chinese poems seems to be echoing in the ears.
After the show
Relevant leaders and guests presented awards to the winners of the "Spring Planting Poems" series of activities. These honors are not only an affirmation of the students' inheritance and practice of the excellent traditional Chinese culture, but also an encouragement for them to continue to move forward on the road of poetry.
Hou Fangfang, vice principal of the school, gave a lecture on the theme of "Planting Poetry in the Garden". She elaborated on the many poetry-related activities carried out by the school and the fruitful results from three aspects: building poetic heritage, creating poetic activities, and exhibiting poetic future.
Yang Jian, a science teacher and researcher of Nanjing Teaching and Research Department, made a comment. He said that from this poetry conference, he saw the paradigm of educating people with aesthetics, and hoped that the children would thrive in the infiltration of poetry.
Li Chuanbin, director of the Education Office of the Education and Social Security Bureau of Jiangbei New Area, made a concluding speech. He congratulated the success of the event and hoped that the school would continue to hold it, plant poetic seeds in the hearts of children, and illuminate their dreams.
