On Monday afternoon local time, a bloody crime in Charlotte, North Carolina, shocked the whole United States, and the Federal Marshals Department was ambushed while chasing a fugitive. According to the latest information, three police officers were shot and killed, including a federal bailiff and two special police officers from the local police station.

The incident took place in the 5000 block of Galway Dr and was being handled by the SWAT team on the spot. Police warned the public on social media platform X to stay away from the area and nearby residents to take shelter immediately. At 2:23 p.m., police confirmed that the SWAT team had arrived at the scene, and video from the scene showed that the armored vehicle of the SWAT team had also driven into the scene and engaged the suspect.
