I don't know when it started, but I found that the people around me reported that the marathon was particularly particular about the level, signage, and whether it was certified by the Athletics Association. Sichuan can afford the Chengdu Marathon, and those from other provinces can only afford the World Athletics Federation signature event, and it has to be a platinum label and a gold label. If it's just a general sign event, you feel that the grade is not enough and is not worthy of yourself.
As a result, we saw that the winning rate of popular events continued to decline, and many third- and fourth-tier marathon events could not recruit people. I'm thinking, what are we running a marathon for? Is it the time on the completion certificate? Or the certification mark of the Chinese Athletics Association on the completion certificate?
As far as I'm concerned, every marathon is a different experience, and it doesn't matter how high or low the experience is, only the shock of the experience to your heart and the place in your life memory.

On the day of the race, on the shuttle bus from Century Square to the starting point, I heard the conversation between the runners and the beautiful staff on the shuttle. The beauty said that at first, the government was afraid that no one would sign up, and they were ready to launch us to sign up, but I usually run a maximum of 3 kilometers, and I can't run half a marathon. Later, the government did not expect that so many people would sign up, and so many people from other places would sign up.
I haven't seen the exact scale of the first Pujiang Half Marathon, but it is said that at least 900 people finished the half marathon.
The starting arch is a bit small, and the starting course is not very wide, which reminds me of the welcome run on Pitou Street in 2019. But the race was well organized, with a half-marathon, 9km and a healthy run starting in three parts. Because of the division of guns, it was easier for me to get to the front and set off. There are a lot of acquaintances in front of me, and at a glance, "Chongqing Quanma First Sister", "Chengdu Half Horse First Sister", "Ya'an First Sister", "Wenjiang First Sister", "Neijiang Second Sister", "Pidu Half Horse First Sister", "Huaxiba First Sister", "Leshan Second Sister", as well as "Chengdu First Brother", "Leshan First Brother", "Deyang First Brother", it is really a gathering of gods. Everyone also felt that there was no safety risk of some race aunts blocking the first row of stations in front of the fast station.
The track focuses on a rural scenery experience, which should show Pujiang's green development, ecological business card, and rural style. This is the first time that Pujiang has held a marathon, and it is also the first time for many Pujiang people to feel the atmosphere of the marathon on the spot, whether it is participating or watching the race, it is an experience. For me, it was also my first time in Pujiang. Although Pujiang is very close to Chengdu, it was not known much before, and the most famous ones are Rake Mandarin and Shixiang Lake. In the past, I only knew that Pujiang was the least populated town in Chengdu, but this time I really felt the charm of "a beautiful small city". Including eating in Pujiang before and after the game, the service attitude of the store is super good. People in smaller cities may be more human.
The bands playing on the main stage at the end of the race are all composed of Pujiang locals, from all walks of life, not too sensational, not too bland, and the sense of relaxation is just right. On the shuttle bus on the way back, I heard that the brothers were communicating, some were from other places working in Pujiang, and some were from Pujiang working in other places, but I heard that my hometown was going to hold a marathon, so I had to come over to support it. Some are the surrounding Ya'an people, although Ya'an has not yet half a horse, but the half horse of Pujiang next door must come to support. After the Pujiang Half Marathon, it is also the welfare and blessing of the Ya'an people.
Perhaps we've lost ourselves a little bit in the fast-paced pace of a busy metropolis. We've become a little numb, we've lost some of our enthusiasm and sincerity, we're not very willing to dig out our hearts with others, and we'd rather play with our phones than talk to the people around us.
Come to Pujiang and see the clear colors, rustic emotions and warm welcome of the people here. You will feel like you are living somewhere else. Isn't the marathon just an spice for our mediocre daily life, allowing us to experience experiences that we don't normally have. It may be the scenery, it may be the human feelings, or it may be some small things, which constitute your own Pujiang memory, and I will often be moved in the future.
Finally, a small thing, a few days before the Pujiang race, some runners reported in the group that they had booked a hotel near the starting point of Xilai to check them out. Isn't this a common occurrence in marathons in other places, and it's also a headache often encountered by marathon runners who claim to see snow-capped mountains not far away. In the humane Pujiang, the result is that there are relevant government personnel to help solve the problem, and the solution is not to dig into whether the hotel is breaking the contract or the number of rooms is really insufficient. Since I checked out, I believe that the store has a reason for the store, and what is needed at present is to solve the problem, that is, to quickly help the runner find a hotel with a better environment and a cheaper price. After hearing about this, a hotel wanted to provide free accommodation for runners.
You can see that the enthusiastic government is different from the people, thinking about how to entertain the guests well, and thinking about maintaining the reputation of Pujiang. It can't be because of holding a marathon, what is advertised is that Pujiang people like to "rip off customers", Pujiang can't and shouldn't have this kind of thing. To run a marathon, it should be to make more friends, let more people know about Pujiang, understand Pujiang, and play in Pujiang in the future.
Thinking of the finish line again, the volunteers desperately loaded our finishing bags with things, rice candy, rake oranges, and bread, for fear that we would be embarrassed.
