Ten kilometers before the landing of the re-entry capsule, it is necessary to complete a number of key actions such as opening the parachute, throwing the anti-heat outsole, thrust reverser engine ignition, soft landing, etc., and obtain clear and stable image data in time, which plays a vital role in predicting the safety of astronauts and implementing the search and rescue plan.
Reporter Guo Jing: In the core area of the landing site of the return capsule of the Shenzhou-17 spacecraft, there is a little guy who looks like a robot. Despite its small size and mediocre appearance, its mystery is hidden in its two eyes, and when the spacecraft returns, the live scene of the return capsule from the parachute to the landing is obtained in real time.
In order to improve the accuracy and coverage of the landing site measurement, the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center has added more than 10 small unmanned TT&C equipment to the landing site on the basis of the original measurement means to build an accurate, reliable and rigorous tracking and measurement link.
Liu Shuqiang, Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center: We remotely control small optical equipment through the control center to track and shoot the spacecraft's return capsule and obtain real-time images and measurement data.
In the daily training, the post operator drills strictly and rigorously, simulates the most complex environment that may occur, and strives to improve the tracking and measurement ability.
Liu Shuqiang, Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center: We usually organize post operators to conduct stand-alone simulation and tracking training, use drones and search and rescue helicopters to conduct system-wide functional drills, and carry out focusing, zoom and color grading, so that the target image is clear, the size is moderate, and the color is bright. In addition, we will also use past commercial airliners for target tracking and image quality adjustment training.
Combined with the characteristics of the return mission of the Shenzhou-17 spacecraft, the landing site scene survey team also revised and improved hundreds of mission documents and emergency plans, and carried out multiple communication link construction, tracking and debugging, so that personnel and equipment are always in the best condition.
