In the early morning of February 23, 2024, a fire accident occurred in Building 6, Mingshang Xiyuan, Yuhuatai District, Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, resulting in 15 people unfortunately killed and 44 people being hospitalized. After preliminary analysis, the fire was caused by a fire where electric bicycles were parked on the overhead floor of 6 buildings, and the specific cause is under further investigation.

On December 1, 2022, a fire broke out in a high-rise community in Weiyang District, Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province, and some residents ventured to leave their homes to escape downstairs through stairwells and elevators, but some residents opened the door and returned indoors due to excessive smoke in the stairwell, and forgot to close the door to block the smoke in panic, resulting in a large amount of smoke pouring into the room, causing 5 deaths and 3 injuries.

At about 19:49 on November 24, 2022, a fire broke out in a high-rise residential building in Jixiangyuan Community, Tianshan District, Urumqi City, Xinjiang. At about 22:35, the open fire at the scene was extinguished, and the injured were all rushed to the hospital for treatment due to inhalation of toxic smoke, 10 people died after rescue, and 9 people suffered moderate inhalation lung injury, which was not life-threatening. The fire started on the 15th floor of a high-rise residential building, spread to the 17th floor, and the smoke spread to the 21st floor.
