Xinhua Finance Beijing, April 30 (Xinhua) -- Recently, the operating data of the express delivery industry and related enterprises in March 2024 have been disclosed one after another. Researchers from Xinhua Finance and Bread Finance used listed companies that have disclosed monthly data as samples to calculate their business income, single ticket income and total business volume respectively.

The main operating indicators disclosed by the four A-share listed express companies in March show that in terms of business income, the four express companies increased year-on-year and month-on-month, among them, the year-on-year increase of YTO Express was the largest; in terms of single ticket income, Yunda shares decreased significantly year-on-year; from the perspective of total business, Yunda and Shentong increased significantly year-on-year.

Business revenue: YTO increased rapidly year-on-year

As of press time, a total of 4 A-share listed express delivery companies disclosed their main operating indicators in March.

In terms of operating income, in March, SF Holdings' operating income reached 16.18 billion yuan, ranking first, far exceeding other express delivery companies, YTO Express's operating income was 5.124 billion yuan, ranking second, Yunda shares followed closely behind, with operating income of 3.989 billion yuan, and Shentong Express's revenue was lower, at 3.652 billion yuan.

From the year-on-year change, the business income of the four express companies has increased, among them, YTO Express has the largest increase, reaching 17.4%, and Shentong Express ranks second, with an increase of 14.94%.

From the perspective of month-on-month changes, the business income of the four express companies has increased, among them, Yunda shares have the largest increase, reaching 63.89%, and YTO Express ranks second, reaching 62.98%.

Single ticket income: Yunda shares decreased significantly year-on-year

From the perspective of single ticket income, the single ticket income of SF Holdings in March was 15.66 yuan/piece, and the single ticket income of YTO Express, Yunda Co., Ltd. and Shentong Express was between 2 yuan/piece and 3 yuan/piece.

From the perspective of year-on-year changes, in addition to the year-on-year growth rate of 3.3% by SF Holdings, the single ticket income of the other three express companies fell in March. Among them, Yunda shares fell by 17.79%, the largest decline.

Judging from the month-on-month change, the single ticket income of the four companies declined in March, among them, Yunda shares fell the most, reaching 9.17%, and YTO Express ranked second, reaching 6.72%.

Total business: Yunda and Shentong increased significantly year-on-year

In March 2024, among the four express companies mentioned above, the total business volume of YTO Express and Yunda Co., Ltd. ranked first, with 2.176 billion votes and 1.92 billion votes respectively. Shentong Express followed closely behind, with a total business volume of 1.737 billion votes. The total business volume of SF Holding was smaller, at 1.033 billion votes.

From the perspective of year-on-year changes, among the total business volume of the four express companies, Yunda shares increased the most, reaching 32.6%, and Shentong Express ranked second, reaching 31.51%.

From the point of view of month-on-month changes, the total business volume of the four express companies has increased, among them, Yunda shares have the largest increase, reaching 80.28%, and YTO Express ranks second, reaching 75.34%.
