1) The global sidebar is enabled by default
● The default setting path of the Xiaomi surging OS system: Settings - Features - Find the global sidebar to turn it on.
● After opening, there will be a transparent floating bar on the side of the system interface, and you can call out the sidebar by swiping on the floating bar, and all the applications on the sidebar will be displayed in a floating window.

3) What installed apps are supported by the global sidebar?
● Although most of the non-system apps are supported by the commonly used widget apps of the Xiaomi surging OS system, you can only add up to 10 commonly used apps to the floating window sidebar.
● In the sidebar of the floating window, the number of apps supported by the Xiaomi surging OS system is not the same in two different scenarios of games and videos, on the contrary, the number of supports is more in the video scene, taking my Xiaomi Mi 13 Ultra as an example, it supports 68 game scenes and 77 video scenes.
● When playing games, you need to add some game apps that you have installed, and after finding [Add Game] to enter, you can see that the system shows the number of apps that can be added, for example, my Xiaomi 13 Ultra supports installed apps (including non-game ones) have been counted, a total of 68 can be added to the sidebar of the floating window.
● When watching videos, you need to add some game apps that you have installed, and after you find [Video App Management] and enter, you can see that the system shows the number of apps that can be added, for example, my Xiaomi 13 Ultra supports installed APPs (including non-game ones) have been counted, a total of 77 can be added to the sidebar of the floating window.
4) What needs to be improved in the global sidebar?
● At present, the global sidebar supports adjusting the position at will, just press and hold the hover bar and then you can freely drag the position of the sidebar, whether it is up and down or left and right.
● However, there are still some things that need to be improved in the global sidebar, such as,
- It is difficult to see the floating bar in some light-colored interfaces, because the transparency of the floating bar cannot be adjusted manually.
- In the sidebar of the floating window, the global sidebar can display 30 installed apps by default, but the 20 apps behind these 30 apps can neither be set nor automatically added according to the frequency of app use.
How do I get to the global sidebar in 1 second?
Preparation
● Download the [Create Desktop Mode] APP (version number: 1.17) and complete the installation.
How-to demonstration
● Step 1: After opening the [Create Desktop Method] APP, click the [3] icon in the upper right corner, and you must check the following 2 options:
1) also display a list of search activities;
2) also display system applications;
Then, enter the keyword [Phone Manager], as shown in the figure below:
● Step 2: After entering the [Event Selection] screen, find the [Phone Manager] activity name, and then click [Details]. Among them, the activity name of [Global Sidebar], the keyword is "DockSettingsActivity", which needs to be noted.
● Step 3: Change the name of the shortcut to "Global Sidebar", then click [Create], wait for the pop-up window at the bottom of the interface to prompt the success code, then exit the APP and return to the desktop.
Finally, when you return to the desktop, you will see the desktop shortcut icon of the [Global Sidebar], and the next time you click on it, you will directly jump to the [Global Sidebar] settings interface.
