The Central Meteorological Observatory continued to issue an orange warning for severe convective weather and a yellow warning for heavy rain at 6 o'clock on April 30.
Orange warning for severe convective weather
It is expected that from 8 o'clock on April 30 to 8 o'clock on May 1, there will be thunderstorms and strong winds or hail above level 8 in parts of southern Hunan, eastern and southern Jiangxi, eastern Zhejiang, northern and southwestern Fujian, eastern and southern Guangxi, western and north-central Guangdong and other places, of which there will be thunderstorms and gales above level 10 in parts of southern Jiangxi, southwestern Fujian, northeast Guangxi, and northern Guangdong, with maximum winds of more than 12 or more, and there may be tornadoes;
Some areas in southern Hunan, eastern and southern Jiangxi, central Zhejiang, Fujian, southeastern Yunnan, eastern and southern Guangxi, Guangdong and other places will have short-term heavy precipitation with hourly rainfall greater than 20 mm, of which the maximum hourly rainfall in southeastern Jiangxi, southern Fujian, northern Guangdong and other places is greater than 50 mm, and the maximum can reach more than 80 mm.
Yellow warning for heavy rain
It is expected that from 8 o'clock on April 30 to 8 o'clock on May 1, there will be heavy to heavy rain in most parts of Zhejiang, southern Jiangxi, central and southern Fujian, eastern Guangxi, central and northern Guangdong, among them, there will be heavy rain (100~180 mm) in some areas of southern Fujian and northern Guangdong.
Some of the above areas are accompanied by short-term heavy precipitation (the maximum hourly rainfall is 30~60 mm, and can exceed 80 mm locally), and there are strong convective weather such as thunderstorms and hail locally.
