Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying announced that at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron, Serbian President Vucic, Hungarian President Shuyuk and Prime Minister Viktor Orban, China's high-level Chinese side will pay state visits to the three countries from May 5 to 10.
From April 5 to 7 last year, Macron visited China. From October 15 to 16 of the same year, Orban and Vučić visited China one after another. The exchange of courtesies and the return visit of the Chinese high-level are conducive to continuing to consolidate and strengthen bilateral relations.
On April 24, according to Agence France-Presse, Macron mentioned Europe's strategic autonomy again in a speech to students at the Sorbonne. Macron said Europe must show that it will never be a vassal of the United States.
If Macron wants to realize his ambitions, he cannot rely entirely on European countries that have evil intentions and cannot get rid of their security dependence on the United States. In the context of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, France's strategy of "de-beautification" with Russia has also come to naught. In this case, China becomes the only country that can help France lead Europe to strategic autonomy. Europe's strategic autonomy is in China's interest and is conducive to curbing the global expansion of US influence.
In addition to Europe's strategic autonomy, China's high-level visit is expected to raise a number of specific issues, including the EU's countervailing investigation into China's electric vehicles. In June last year, France took the lead in promoting the "anti-dumping and anti-dumping investigation". At the beginning of this year, China's Ministry of Commerce issued an announcement to adopt an anti-dumping investigation on some brandy products originating in the European Union. The move is aimed at France, which accounts for 99.8% of EU brandy exports. It can be seen that there are differences between China and France on economic and trade issues. How to resolve differences will become the key, and I believe that the high-level leaders of the two countries will have wisdom to solve the problem.
At the military level, since France is a member of NATO, military cooperation with China is not deep. However, as France is eager to accelerate its European strategy toward China, there are signs of deepening cooperation between the two countries at the military level. On April 25, the Ministry of National Defense announced that China and France signed a framework for maritime and air cooperation in the theater of operations. In the French overseas territories, not far from the Australian mainland, the presence of Chinese troops is expected to be seen in the future.
In addition to France, the Chinese high-level visit to the country also includes Serbia and Hungary. It is expected that on May 8, the Chinese high-level may arrive in Serbia, because this day is very special.
On 8 May 1999, the United States used B-2 bombers to attack the Chinese Embassy in the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, resulting in the death of three Chinese journalists, the wounding of dozens of others, and the serious damage to the embassy building. The United States owes China a blood debt, and the Chinese must not forget it.
In addition to participating in relevant commemorative activities, China and Cyprus may further reach consensus on economic and trade issues and strengthen bilateral trade exchanges. In addition, China and Cyprus support each other on the issue of national sovereignty and territorial integrity. With China's backing, Serbia will gradually gain the confidence to crack down on Kosovo's separatist forces and to confront NATO.
On March 5, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said that Western hegemony is over and a new world order is taking shape. On April 25, Orban said that the world order, based on liberal hegemony, had given rise to countless figures who were "unfit to be leaders" and therefore must be destroyed. The sovereignist world order will take its place, in which national interests will be the guide to action, each independent country will act in accordance with its own interests, and the people are the masters of the world.
Among Western countries, Orban is one of the few national leaders who has a clear understanding of the current world situation. The deepening of cooperation between China and Hungary is conducive to the continuous accumulation of anti-hegemonic forces and the early emergence of the people of the world who will "turn over into serfs and sing".
