Bow your head and worship the slaughter of the sheep, and the clouds are too empty through the ages

Jiang Hanfeng reported: In Chapter 46 of the 140,000-word "Philosophy of Martial Arts in Chinese Martial Arts", "The fragrance of plum blossoms comes from the bitter cold", I recorded an unforgettable experience in my life. In the late '80s, I taught myself Thai boxing and thought it was fun.

Therefore, every day, the legs kick the heavy sandbag 500 times, and the elbow and knee hit the heavy sandbag 200 times each, the pain of training, the joy of training, is beyond the comprehension of people in the Tao. Then stand on the pile, recuperate, and read and write in the evening.

For more than 10 years, he has been honing every day, attacking with legs at medium and long distances, and elbows and knees at medium and close distances. Perseverance pays off. Train steel elbows and iron knees, practice legs to kick out like a leather whip, and like an iron rod to sweep out. Seeing that his martial arts are new, new every day, and new every day, my heart is happy. In this way, isn't he a martial arts master?

Thai boxing has been fighting all over the world for 500 years, and its secret: it is hard to practice the word also. In the past 10 years, I have written six martial arts monographs, including "Thai Boxing Illustrated", "Thai Boxing" and "Japanese Kickboxing", which have been published and distributed by Beijing Sport University Press. He has published more than 90 articles in martial arts journals such as "Martial Arts", "Martial Soul", and "Boxing and Fighting".

In early 1997, "Japanese Kickboxing" was released at Uchiyama Bookstore on Ginza Street, Tokyo, Japan. In July, 4 members of the Japanese martial arts delegation (including 5 dans of kendo, 6 dans of judo, 5 dans of karate, and 4 dans of aikido) came to Jianli, Hubei. The next day, Chinese and Japanese martial arts colleagues had many martial arts exchanges in the training hall where I was a martial arts instructor. During the three-day period, we conducted several in-depth exchanges with Chinese and Japanese martial arts colleagues on the empirical cultivation of Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism, especially Xiangshan, Yangming Xinxue and Zen Buddhism in the face of life and death in martial arts philosophy.

In December 1999, at the invitation of Dr. Liang Ting, Chairman of the 5th World Wushu Championships, he attended the 5th World Wushu Championships hosted at the Hong Kong Hung Chung Gymnasium as a guest of honor, together with Kang Gewu, President of the Chinese Wushu Research Institute. During this period, I asked Dr. Liang a question: I am an amateur martial arts enthusiast, and I can't enter the grassroots of the county-level martial arts society, why did you invite me to attend this major event? Dr. Liang smiled and said quietly, and then said, please come with me to a place to tell you the answer. Dr. Liang said: The answer is on the bookcase, I looked up, and there were five books on the bookcase: "Thai Boxing Illustrated", "Thai Boxing", "Japanese Kickboxing", "Nunchucks Attack" and "Kendo" are my books. The next morning tea, Dr. Leung asked me a philosophical question. He said, as far as I know, you study martial arts, you have no ancestry, no teacher, and no professional background in sports martial arts. In the eyes of our martial arts professionals, you are a martial arts student Bai Ding. However, you have published a large number of professional martial arts articles in the Guangzhou "Wulin" journal, and Beijing Sport University Press has published six professional martial arts books that have influenced the East Asian martial arts community. The academic achievements you have achieved in the field of martial arts are not easy to achieve in the lifetime of a college sports martial arts professor. It was you who put an amateur martial arts professor on the same page as a university martial arts professor. On the one hand, your martial arts status is as high as the sky, but it is lower than the earth, such a huge contrast, people have a sense of difference between cloud and mud, such strange people, unheard of. My mentor, Yongchun Boxing Master Ip Man, never said that there had been such people and things in the martial arts during his lifetime. So, how did you do that?

I replied: I am very ashamed that I lie on the earth and know that I am a speck of dust on the earth, and the earth is a speck of dust in the universe. If I achieve more in the field of martial arts, I know that I know less about it, and I will always be humble to the ground and happy to the grassroots. Dr. Liang, the question you raised is also the reason why I can't enter the county-level martial arts society. For a long time, he has been a maverick outside the martial arts, and he has no "heart" tempering. I Ching has clouds: self-help, human help, heaven help, I only have self-help to achieve myself. I have practiced martial arts for many years, but I have no achievements, but I have experience. It is "a deep one", "ten years of sharpening a sword", "Taoist martial arts", and "unintentional cultivation of the avenue".

Dr. Leung said these four sentences were too well spoken. In particular, "Taoist view of martial arts".

I explained: Human beings have three realms, the first is to see things with the eyes, the second is to see things with the mind, and the third is to see things with the Tao. If I have made achievements in the field of martial arts, I just borrowed the three sentences of Li Hongzhang, a heavy minister in the late Qing Dynasty: life is full of multiplication and division, bow your head and worship the slaughter of the sheep, and the clouds are too empty.
