However, not long after he finished saying this, the Taiwan Mainland Affairs Council jumped out and said that the descendants of Yan and Huang were just ancient legends. In view of the MAC's attitude of denying that the two sides of the strait have common blood and that we belong to the descendants of Yan and Huang. The Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council recently gave a domineering response, bluntly saying that the DPP authorities and their politicians will be nailed to the pillar of shame in history.
To be honest, this response is indeed a lot more relieving than the previous responses given by the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council. In the face of the "Taiwan independence" elements on the island who are constantly launching provocations, it is obviously not enough to fight back verbally if we want to reunify the two sides of the strait. With regard to how to counter the "Taiwan independence" elements, the mainland generally exerts political pressure on them, but the results achieved are often not as quick as cutting meat without a blunt knife. The so-called blunt knife cutting meat is the same as the sausage-slicing strategy adopted by the Americans in the Taiwan Strait situation, that is, through various non-military actions, they continue to dig into the "Taiwan independence" forces.
For example, the mainland coast guard has directly sailed into the restricted area demarcated by the Taiwan authorities, opened the Liuwudao Strait to the outside world after dredging it, continuously released drones into Erdan Island for live broadcasts, and allowed civil airliners to cross the route known as the "middle line of the Taiwan Strait." These are all part of our blunt knife cut. The consequences of this would be less severe than the direct use of force. More importantly, there can be many kinds of non-military actions, so there are many more means of pressure that we can take in the future. In the past, this was not done because there was a tacit understanding between the two sides of the strait that belonged to the same family, but now, this tacit understanding has been completely destroyed by the DPP.
As far as the mainland is concerned, cross-strait reunification can be carried out step by step, and the sovereignty of the outer islands can be slowly stripped from the hands of the DPP; if the Taiwan authorities choose to retreat, then the next step will be the main island; if they do not retreat, then the Taiwan authorities will play a role in undermining peace in cross-strait relations. If they do not like this role and want to use force to break this unpleasant situation, it will be tantamount to providing us with a window for resolving cross-strait relations by force. This is because in cross-strait relations, the mainland is not suitable for firing the first shot, and the black pot that undermines the peaceful situation between the two sides of the strait must be borne by the "Taiwan independence" elements.
Not only will this allow me to avoid some unnecessary bad consequences, but it will also help us shape a more favorable situation. The DPP dares to deny the descendants of Yan and Huang in words this time, and next time it dares to turn its back on the nation in action; if something goes wrong in its actions, the day when the "Taiwan independence" forces will regret it will come soon.
