In April last year, the Pudong police connected to three new types of fraud reports through computers and networks, and the financial personnel of the three companies were defrauded of nearly 10 million yuan. After sorting out the source of the case, the police went to Taiyuan, Shanxi Province in May to arrest the suspect, and the suspect Liu turned out to be a computer enthusiast who had just graduated from college and had not yet found a job.

This young man made a remote-controlled no-kill program, and soon after selling it for a few hundred yuan, he was used by a fraud syndicate, causing tens of millions of losses to the victim company.

Here's what happened: Miss Ye, the victim company, was a financial officer of a company, and in early April, she downloaded an email that appeared to be from a client company, and after that, all her computer operations were completely transparent to the fraudsters. The fraud syndicate took control of Miss Ye's computer through a Trojan horse, and what is even more terrifying is that the fraudsters are not in a hurry to act, but secretly observe, and gradually grasp all the social scenes of her work and life on the computer. Subsequently, the other party manipulated Miss Ye's computer and disguised himself as Miss Ye's general manager.

On April 27, the impostor general manager told Miss Ye that there was a sum of money to be received, and he asked him to verify it after the account arrived, and then remitted 9.48 million yuan in a lump sum by advancing funds.

After the victim company reported the case, the forensic technology department of the Pudong police immediately carried out a non-contact on-site investigation of the fraud case. Since the Trojan programs are all with source code, the police found out the source code after checking the Trojan program in Miss Ye's computer, and then compared the traces of many suspects on the Internet, and found that Liu, who was far away in Shanxi, was the person who used the code of this open-source Trojan program. For a long time after his arrest, 23-year-old Liu felt that he was not involved in the fraud, he was just selling a remote control no-kill software, and how the other party used it should have nothing to do with him. The ease of cashing out through the Internet gave Liu a sense of achievement, however, such behavior actually provided a key tool for fraud and crime.

Compared with the 9.48 million yuan that Miss Ye's company was defrauded, what Liu got was just a small profit. Different from the traditional telecommunications network fraud crime, this case is not a call from a leader or a transfer instruction sent with a high-imitation email number to induce the victim to be deceived, but a new type of fraud that has been updated and iterated. Such criminal methods also make the victims even more unguardable. Therefore, while cracking down on fraudsters, the police also cracked down on acts like Xiao Liu that provided illegal technical support.

After the trial, Liu was sentenced to three years and two months in prison and fined 100,000 yuan for the crime of providing programs that illegally control computer information systems, and paid a heavy price for his actions; while another college graduate, 24-year-old Song, turned himself into a Trojan horse, used the identity of an old employee to infiltrate the computer system of the old company, stole the platform's game currency, and then made a profit through the exchange of black merchants in the live broadcast room.

Song only worked for half a year before experiencing layoffs from the company. Song Moukou said that he didn't mind his old club laying off himself, but his behavior still showed his dissatisfaction. It turned out that as a former software engineer, Song could log in to the company's game background through a proprietary account, and when he left, the company did not cancel this account. So, in the next six months, Song stole the game currency many times and exchanged it for RMB. During that time, he met the three sects and nine streams in the live broadcast room, and many of them were masters of reselling game currency.

After being laid off by the company, although the company compensated Song tens of thousands of yuan, Song lost a high-paying job of tens of thousands of yuan per month, and the pressure on daily living expenses was not reduced. Song was strapped for money, but occasionally he could spend a lot of money, and his wife also suspected that Song's money at that time was not coming from the right way.

From June to November 2022, Song used the VPN account he obtained during his employment to log in to the company's database, falsely increased the total number of "diamond coins" in the accounts of the two live broadcast platforms under his actual control, and resold more than 1.09 million of them to others, making a profit of RMB 79,241.

Song stole the original company's game currency for cashing out, and was suspected of illegally obtaining computer information system data, which also involved money laundering crimes. In Song's illegal crimes, the black businessmen in the live broadcast room are the key to money laundering. In the eyes of the police, the new generation of cyber is familiar with the Internet ecology, and they lack the ability to distinguish and resist new cyber crimes.

Song was eventually sentenced to three years in prison, suspended for three years, and fined 30,000 yuan for the crime of illegally obtaining computer information system data.
