In order to comprehensively strengthen and improve the urban environmental governance and management of Kunming Old Street, improve the weak links of the city appearance and environment, and further enhance the order of the city appearance and environment of Kunming Old Street, after investigation, from April 29, 2024, the road sections of Kunming Old Street Guanghua Street and Shifu East Street, Guanghua Street and Qianwang Street will be restricted in different time periods.
In order to ensure the smooth flow of the old streets of Kunming and optimize the overall traffic layout, the first is to set up isolation facilities such as flower boxes in the road sections, including the intersection of Guanghua Street and Shifu East Street, Guanghua Street and Qianwang Street, Yunrui East Road, Yunrui West Road and Guanghua Street. The second is the time-based traffic restriction, which is from 10:00 to 22:00 every day, and the traffic restriction time on holidays is extended to 23:00. The third is to set up guide signs in key areas, marked with clear reminders, to guide citizens to drive to the parking point closer to the destination and walk into the pedestrian block. The fourth is to set up non-motorized vehicle parking places, during the traffic restriction period, a total of 13 non-motorized vehicle free parking places, 2 non-motorized vehicle toll parking places, and 11 takeaway non-motorized vehicle park-and-go areas (i.e., takeaway, water delivery, express vehicle temporary parking points).
