During the 2024 Beijing Auto Show, Wuling Motors officially announced that its Wuling Starlight co-created version of the model was launched, and the new car offers 4 configurations to choose from, with an official guide price range of 79,800 yuan to 102,800 yuan. The new car is based on the Wuling Starlight plug-in hybrid version, which has ushered in an upgrade in terms of configuration, and is currently the cheapest plug-in hybrid mid-size sedan.
In terms of appearance, the front face of the new car has not changed, with a frameless grille design, and the interior is decorated with dot matrix lines, which has a strong recognition, and the hood is designed with a number of raised rib lines, which has a strong sense of muscle.
The headlight cluster adopts a split design, the through-type daytime running lights effectively stretch the horizontal visual width of the front face, the vertical layout of the high and low beams are located on both sides of the grille, the style appears more individual, and the lower envelope part is equipped with trapezoidal air intakes, and the interior is decorated with honeycomb patterns, and the style appears relatively simple.
In terms of side styling, the roof adopts a slip-back shape, which is more capable and has a certain sporty atmosphere; the waistline adopts a through-type design, which embellishes the layering of the side of the body; the door handle adopts a concave shape, which can play a role in slightly reducing wind resistance; and the wheels adopt a two-tone five-spoke shape, which looks more fashionable.
In terms of rear styling, the blacked-out taillight cluster adopts a through-type design, and the two sides also create a wrap-around shape, which is very recognizable when lit, and also effectively stretches the horizontal visual width of the rear of the car, the lower surround is equipped with a concave license plate frame, which embellishes the three-dimensional effect of the rear, and the bottom also creates a diffuser shape to further enhance the sporty performance.
In terms of dimensions, the length, width and height of the new car are 4835/1860/1515mm, and the wheelbase is 2800mm.
The interior has not changed, providing a double-spoke multi-function steering wheel, a full LCD instrument cluster, a floating center control screen and an electronic gear knob, which has a strong sense of technology, and the air conditioning vents adopt a through-type design, embellishing the layering of the center console.
In terms of equipment, the new car is equipped with tire pressure display, automatic parking, hill assist, steep hill descent, reversing radar, reversing camera, cruise control, keyless entry, one-button start, automatic LED headlights, automatic wipers, electric adjustment of the main driver's seat, rear seat proportional reclining, automatic air conditioning and rear exhaust air vents.
In terms of power, the new car is equipped with a plug-in hybrid system consisting of a 1.5-liter self-aspirated engine and an electric motor, with a maximum engine power of 78kW and a peak torque of 130Nm, and an electric motor with a maximum power of 150kW and a maximum torque of 310Nm, mated to a DHT gearbox. The battery pack is available in 9.5 kWh and 20.5 kWh versions, with a pure electric range of 70 km and 150 km in CLTC mode, 1,100 km in NEDC mode, and 3.98 L/100 km and 4.09 L/100 km in deficit mode.
