In order to promote the faster and better development of the strawberry industry, on the same day, the "Changli County 2024 Strawberry Festival" hosted by the Changli County Strawberry Association was held in the Shanshuiwan Cooperative of Zhanggezhuang Village, Hexi, Liangshan Township.
At 9 o'clock in the morning, a period of old drums warmed up, and the participating leaders jointly launched the opening of the strawberry festival. At the event site, the brand team explained and released the regional brand of strawberries, and Changli County Yingxia Fruit and Vegetable Planting Professional Cooperative and Hebei Academy of Agriculture and Forestry Sciences held the "Hebei 9 Variety Authorization Signing Ceremony". Subsequently, the strawberry competition was carried out on the spot, and the gold, silver and excellence awards were selected from the aspects of color, hardness, fruit type, flavor and sugar content. Among them, Changli County Yanshuo Fruit and Vegetable Planting Cooperative won the gold medal, Changli County Yingxia Fruit and Vegetable Planting Cooperative and Changli County Zhantao Fruit and Vegetable Planting Cooperative won the silver award. Strawberry in Changli County has a planting history of more than 40 years, with a planting area of 11,900 mu, an annual output of 35,000 tons, and an output value of more than 400 million yuan. There are 357 cooperatives, family farms, and large growers for strawberry planting, and about 1,500 people are specialized in logistics and transportation and about 1,500 brokers specializing in strawberry sales. At the same time, enterprises related to the strawberry industry have emerged in Changli County, including a quick-track greenhouse construction company, a greenhouse quilt factory, a plastic and foam products factory, an agricultural technical service station and a labor service company that has begun to take shape, a strawberry quick-freezing processing plant and a strawberry ice wine winery, and the formation of these industries has laid the foundation for the development of the strawberry industry in Changli County.
The strawberry planting mode in Changli County mainly adopts greenhouse planting and plastic film planting, greenhouse planting is planted in September, harvesting and listing in mid-to-late December, and harvesting is until the end of June. The mulch is planted in March and covered with mulch, and it is harvested and marketed in May. The products are mainly sold to Beijing, Tianjin, Tang and other places.
Changli strawberry adheres to the concept of "quality first, combination of berry brigade and green development", and adopts the technology of water and fertilizer integration, precise fertilization, and biological pest control in the planting process. In the past three years, under the guidance of the Municipal Vegetable Management Center and the vegetable department of Changli County, the strawberry seedling technology and elevated seedling technology have been tested and demonstrated, which not only greatly improves the survival rate of strawberry seedlings, but also improves the quality and yield of strawberries, and has been successfully promoted in a large area of the county. At the same time, more than 20 new strawberry varieties such as Jijiu, Yanli and Snow White have also been introduced.
