On April 26, the Ministry of Education, together with the Ministry of Public Security, the National Fire and Rescue Bureau and other departments, held a national video conference on the safety work of primary and secondary schools and kindergartens, thoroughly implementing the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions on overall development and safety work, analyzing and judging the current safety situation in primary and secondary schools and kindergartens, deploying this year's safety work, and doing its best to prevent and curb the occurrence of various safety incidents. The first is to carry out in-depth special actions on mental health and build a solid health first concept. Adhere to the "five education simultaneously", and comprehensively promote the "double reduction" work. Improve mechanisms for monitoring and early warning of students' mental health, and strengthen medical-school coordination. Carry out mental health education for students at different levels and categories, promote the popularization of science, and create a good atmosphere in which "everyone pays attention to psychology and health".
The second is to thoroughly implement special actions for the prevention and control of student bullying and form a long-term governance mechanism. Fifth, in-depth implementation of traffic safety improvement actions to ensure the safety of teachers and students. Carry out extensive traffic safety education and guide teachers and students to consciously abide by traffic rules. Standardize the development of special school buses, develop customized buses for students according to local conditions, and increase the governance of school buses and vehicles for picking up and dropping off students. Cooperate with the public security traffic management department to comprehensively improve the road traffic safety facilities and management facilities around the school, and jointly maintain the traffic order at the school gate and the surrounding area.
