Ubisoft has unveiled new content for Assassin's Creed: Mirage, confirming that there won't be any DLC in the future, but the developers haven't finished describing Basim's story yet. The latest installment in the series has received high recognition from fans both old and new.
Assassin's Creed: Mirage launches in October 2023. Since its launch, most fans have given the game positive reviews, despite its relatively short time compared to Assassin's Creed: Valhalla and its predecessors. The story follows Basim Ibn-Ishaq as he becomes a Master Assassin. The game is set in Baghdad in the 9th century. While fans don't know where Basim's path will go after the story of AC Mirage ends, the developers have made it clear that this is not the last time players will see him.
On April 24, Ubisoft Bordeaux Creative Director Stephane Boudon and Art Director Jeal-Luc Sala hosted an AMA session on Reddit to engage with fans. One player asked the developers if they could expect a DLC or any story expansion for Assassin's Creed: Mirage. In his reply, Stephen mentioned that they intended to make it a standalone game. He went on to explain their intentions, "We certainly have ideas on how to expand on the Basim story, though. However, we certainly have ideas on how to expand on the Basime story. But as of today, Mirage has no plans to release anything.
All in all, the AMA session seems to be going well for both developers and players. Players are thankful to the developers for listening to fan feedback and for having a great gaming experience. The developers were also very excited about the popularity of Assassin's Creed Mirage and said they were very happy to tell the story of the Master Assassin Basim.
