On April 27, the 6G Innovation and Development Forum was held at the Zhongguancun International Innovation Center. The forum is hosted by the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission, the Zhongguancun Management Committee, and the People's Government of Haidian District, Beijing, and jointly organized by the Zhongguancun Fanlian Mobile Communication Technology Innovation and Application Research Institute (hereinafter referred to as the Zhongguancun Fanlian Institute), China Mobile Research Institute, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, and TD Industry Alliance (Beijing Telecommunications Technology Development Industry Association), and is one of the series of forums of the "Artificial Intelligence Theme Day" of the 2024 Zhongguancun Forum Annual Conference.

Fang Lei said in his speech that the 6G industry needs to be driven by innovation, driven by application scenarios, and more importantly, driven by collaboration, openness and cooperation. The SASAC attaches great importance to the development of future industries, and has always supported the innovation and development of state-owned central enterprises and industry-university-research parties in the field of 6G, encouraged the central leading enterprises to play the role of the main body of innovation, made continuous breakthroughs at the forefront of technological innovation, and shouldered heavy burdens in the formulation of international standards, the construction of common infrastructure platforms, and the cultivation of industrial ecology, so as to promote the coordinated development of the innovation chain and industrial chain, and accelerate the application and transformation of 6G technology from the laboratory to the market.
Xu Xinchao introduced that 6G is an important strategic support for the development of new quality productivity, which will comprehensively build a new generation of information network infrastructure for the intelligent connection of all things, and lead a new round of scientific and technological revolution and industrial transformation. At present, Beijing is building an international science and technology innovation center and building a global digital economy benchmark city, which will give full play to Beijing's advantages in science and technology, education and talents, break through a number of key core technologies, build a leading end-to-end common test platform, and actively explore demonstration applications, strengthen international exchanges and cooperation, and gather strength to build Beijing into a source of 6G original innovation.
Jia Jianfu mentioned in his speech that Haidian District has carried out full exploration of 6G, is building an industry-leading 6G end-to-end common technology platform, and has preliminarily completed the testing of 6G key technologies such as intelligent metasurfaces, communication and perception integration, distributed self-made networks, computing power networks, and wireless AI. With the support of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council and other relevant ministries and commissions, as well as the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, Beijing will continue to give full play to the advantages of industrial resources such as universities and institutes in the district and leading communication enterprises, continuously improve its original scientific research capabilities, actively promote the construction of 6G technology research and development, technical standard research and experimental platforms, and contribute to the international 6G standardization and industrialization.
Gao Tongqing said in his speech that 6G has become a new focus of global scientific and technological innovation in the mobile information industry. On the basis of 5G, 6G will build a mobile information network with deep integration of synaesthesia, computing and intelligence, and integrated coverage of space and earth, and comprehensively promote the digital and intelligent transformation of the economy and society. At present, the development of 6G has entered a critical stage on the eve of standardization, and it is necessary to focus on strengthening three aspects: First, strengthen technology integration and promote multi-dimensional capability shaping. The second is to strengthen system innovation and promote the construction of industrial ecology. Third, we need to strengthen openness and cooperation and promote the unification of global standards.
Dai Xiaohui believes that the development of 6G technology is a global undertaking, which requires all countries in the world to work together to formulate a global unified 6G standard and work together to promote the industrialization process of 6G technology. China Communications Standards Association has always been committed to promoting the standardization process of communication technology, and will continue to give full play to its professional advantages in the field of standardization, and work with colleagues in the global communication field to jointly promote the international standardization process of 6G technology.

With the theme of "Jointly Promoting the Integration of Communication and AI and Leading 6G Technology Innovation", this forum will have in-depth exchanges on the effective path of 6G and AI integration. The forum gathered representatives of domestic and foreign government, industry, academia and research, invited 4 domestic and foreign academicians to attend and give important speeches, and the proportion of foreign guests in the forum was as high as 50%, providing a high-standard and international platform for technical and industrial exchanges.

At the forum, Zhongguancun Pan-Liaison Institute jointly released a blockbuster with China Mobile, Lenovo, CITIC Mobile, and vivo. 6G ultra-large-scale MIMO cloud-based wireless network prototype verification system.
It is reported that the system consists of three core components: 6G cloud-based wireless network heterogeneous hardware baseband cloud platform, ultra-large-scale MIMO AAU, and 6G terminal verification platform, based on this system, key technology verification can be carried out in multiple technical fields such as cloud-based wireless network and ultra-large-scale MIMO, which will accelerate the 6G technology research and development process, accumulate a stable and reliable technical foundation for the future 6G commercial system research and development, and will also have a far-reaching impact on the entire communications industry.
