On that day, I was working the night shift, and there was a patient who had a sudden abdominal pain, and although he had been treated by the doctor, the abdominal pain could not be relieved immediately for a while. At that moment, I suddenly realized that in addition to medical treatment, patients need simple care and consideration. A seemingly simple care and greeting from a medical staff may bring great comfort to patients.
Looking at the patient's painful expression, I quickly ordered a hot water bottle online, thinking to myself, maybe this will bring him a moment of comfort. The hot water bottle needs to be recharged, and after receiving the goods, I fully charged it at the nurse's station and carefully adjusted the temperature to make sure it didn't overheat. When I walked into the ward and saw the patient's wife sleeping, I didn't disturb her and handed the hot water bottle to the patient alone, his face showed unexpected surprise and gratitude, and he thanked him vigorously. At this moment, I deeply realize that this simple kindness and care can inadvertently bring so great warmth and strength to others.
Through this trivial matter, I have come to realize more deeply that as medical workers, we must not only have professional medical knowledge and skills, but also have a caring and considerate heart for patients. Because in this seemingly indifferent medical environment, patients often need more warmth and care from the depths of our hearts. This kind of care is not only reflected in the attention and treatment of the condition, but also in the observation and comfort of the patient's emotions.
