In the 1980s, the Soviet Union was actually in a state of rigidity, blind self-confidence and a huge bureaucracy, which led to the slow response of the entire country, and even when the supreme leader of the Soviet Union, Gorbachev, knew the truth about Chernobyl, it was already the day after the accident. The first time in this level of nuclear accident, due to inexperience, there was some delay in responding to the accident in the early stages, but then, it was an epic rescue that made people cry.
After the explosion, the first firefighters and nuclear power plant staff entered the scene without protective clothing! All of these heroes died of overdose within a month. Then the second group of pilots, who had almost no protective equipment, flew helicopters repeatedly over the reactor and began a heroic "suicide" rescue, flying 3,000 sorties to throw 5,000 tons of boron carbide, sand and lead powder mixture into the reactor opening. Then 50,000 workers dug tunnels at the site of the accident to cool the reactor from the ground, and more than 10,000 died prematurely. Finally, the fourth group of people, 600,000 Soviet troops, including chemical defense troops, railway troops, helicopter troops, motorized troops, mechanized troops and Soviet internal affairs forces, finally the fighters completely sealed the reactor with concrete.
The Soviet military invested more than 2,500 military armored vehicles, transport vehicles, bulldozers, tanker trucks, fire trucks and ambulances in the rescue operation in Chernobyl, all of which were scrapped due to radiation contamination and remain in Chernobyl today. Military vehicles and equipment abandoned due to radiation contamination, coupled with radiation deaths and injuries, the Soviet Union essentially lost a fully manned motorized infantry division. After the disaster, the performance of the Soviet army was really moving, and people felt that it was a great country, that was a great army!

The follow-up treatment of the Fukushima nuclear accident was even more chaotic for the Japanese. Because it could not be effectively controlled at the initial stage, the Fukushima nuclear accident continued to be a problem in the next 10 years, up to the Japanese government, to the top level of TEPCO, down to every citizen, basically holding an attitude of not letting me die. On the Japanese side, the Fukushima 50 dead soldiers, which have been announced to the outside world, have never released any information to the outside world, and TEPCO has also refused to disclose the list of all personnel involved in this operation for various reasons. Recently, the information that broke out shows that most of the people who really participated in the emergency repair of the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant are outsourced personnel without preparation and insurance, and they do not even understand how dangerous it is to enter the nuclear leakage zone for emergency repairs, many of them are homeless, long-term unemployed and debtors who are in arrears with gangsters, and even intellectually disabled people, which is such a group of low-level people in society who really participated in the rescue work of the Fukushima nuclear accident.
