Indonesia's Advantages:

1. Indonesia is the largest economy in Southeast Asia, with a GDP of more than US$1 trillion, the seventh largest GDP in the world, second only to China, the United States, India, Japan, Germany and Russia, with 97 million consumers in the middle class and affluent class, and has huge economic potential.

2. E-commerce users are growing year by year, according to statista, the number of e-commerce users in Indonesia has reached 178 million in 2022, and the penetration rate of e-commerce in Indonesia will continue to increase in the next four years, and by 2027, the country's e-commerce users are expected to exceed 240 million, an increase of nearly 24.53% compared with 2023, that is, an annual increase of about 10 million people.

3. Indonesia has taken many measures to promote economic development, and the scale of Indonesia's digital economy will reach US$77 billion in 2022, a year-on-year increase of 22%, and it is expected that by 2025, the scale of the country's digital economy will reach US$130 billion.

4. Chinese enterprises have broad prospects for development in Indonesia, according to Chinese customs statistics, in 2022, the bilateral trade volume reached 149.09 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 19.8%, and China has become Indonesia's largest trading partner for 10 consecutive years.

Live e-commerce has become a new driving force for Indonesia's development:

Among the many Southeast Asian countries, Indonesia has the largest population, strong consumer purchasing power, and a promising e-commerce market. In 2023, the number of e-commerce users in Indonesia will reach 196.47 million. THE GROWTH TREND IN THE NUMBER OF E-COMMERCE USERS IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE OVER THE NEXT FOUR YEARS, WITH THE NUMBER OF ONLINE SHOPPERS IN INDONESIA EXPECTED TO REACH 244.7 MILLION BY 2027, ACCORDING TO STATISTA.

The report also shows that the Indonesian e-commerce market is expected to grow from US$52.93 billion to US$86.81 billion from 2024 to 2028, with a compound annual growth rate of 10.4%. The future rise of Indonesia's e-commerce market will be inseparable from the help of social e-commerce.
