author:Mr. Zhang, a Chinese medicine practitioner

This prescription is the famous prescription of "Treatise on Typhoid Fever" for the treatment of palpitations and pulse knots. The evidence is caused by the lack of yin blood and the lack of yang energy. Yin blood is insufficient, the blood veins cannot be filled, coupled with the lack of yang qi, the inability to agitate the blood veins, the pulse qi is not connected, so the pulse is formed; the yin blood is insufficient, the heart and body are not nourished, or the heart and yang are weak, can not warm the heart and veins, so the heart palpitates. It is advisable to nourish the heart yin, nourish the heart and blood, benefit the heart qi, warm the heart and yang, and restore the pulse and fix palpitations. In the formula, the licorice is warm and invigorating, passes through the meridians, benefits the blood and qi, and nourishes the heart in a slow and urgent manner. The two medicines are reused, nourishing qi and nourishing blood to restore the pulse, and they are all the king's medicines. Ginseng and jujube nourish the heart and spleen, and the combination of licorice and licorice is beneficial to the heart and qi, and the spleen is nourished by the source of qi and blood metaplasia; Ejiao, Mai Dong and Ma Ren nourish the yin and nourish the blood and nourish the heart, and the rehmannia nourishes the heart and yin, nourishes the heart and blood, and fills the blood and veins, which are all subordinate medicines. Cinnamon branches and ginger warm the heart and yang and pass the blood veins, so that the qi and blood are unblocked, the pulse and qi are connected, and the thick flavors are nourishing but not greasy, and they are all adjuvants.

The combination of cinnamon and licorice can also be sweet and yang, and the heart and blood can be combined to revitalize the heart and yang. In usage, add sake decoction to warm the yang and pass the veins, to help the medicinal power, and to make medicine. The combination of various medicines nourishes but not greasy, warm but not dry, so that the qi and blood are abundant, the yin and yang are harmonized, and the function of nourishing qi and nourishing the blood, nourishing yin and restoring the pulse. Because boiled licorice and ginseng can also replenish lung qi, moisten the lungs and relieve cough; Ejiao and Mai Dong are good at nourishing lung yin and moistening lung dryness; rehmannia and hemp seeds are long in nourishing kidney water, and are used in combination with Ejiao and Mai Dong, which have the function of "gold and water grow together", so they can be used for the treatment of patients with qi and yin injuries caused by fatigue and pulmonary impotence. However, for those who suffer from yin injury and lung dryness, the amount of ginger, cinnamon and wine in the recipe should be reduced or not used, because after all, warm medicine has the disadvantage of depleting yin fluid, so it should be used with caution.
