The other day, I went to the Shochiku test room to see the preview screening of "The Spirit of Ryoma", which will be released in Japan from May 31.

The film was screened in China last year, so it's no stranger to everyone or anyone who likes to watch movies. I checked Douban, and the score is not high. The movie is very warm, and the warmth line is divided into two: the love between people and horses is deep, which is about Jackie Chan (called Lao Luo in the movie) and a horse named Chitu. The father-daughter relationship is deep, it is about how Jackie Chan and his daughter who have been estranged for many years finally reconciled, the daughter said: I know for the first time what it feels like to be protected by my father, and Jackie Chan said that the rules of the Lao Luo family, for the sake of his daughter, it is okay for the father to risk death.

People and horses are even more affectionate. Although I knew it was sensational, I still burst into tears.

There are a lot of scenes in the film where Jackie Chan used to shoot those thrilling actions, so the movie is advertised as Jackie Chan's "culmination", and those shots are really thrilling. For the sake of a good movie, a person can sacrifice himself and take risks like this, jump from a tall building, take off in the air, train at high intensity, and dedicate himself to fighting for decades, which is not something that ordinary people can do. Therefore, even if there is an opinion on his private morality, it cannot be denied his dedication and achievements. This is one of the reasons to recommend. The second is because it is a movie that can be watched like a family for men, women and children. There are no scenes that are inappropriate for children, there is no bloody violence, couples are at most to the extent of holding hands, the story is joyful and interesting, and there are also deeply touching feelings, you can rest assured that you can drag your family with your mouth, laugh easily, warm and tearful, and go out to have a meal after watching it, it is a good holiday look. And it speaks Chinese.

Reemi was also invited to see the test screening, she said that it was very good-looking, there were not a lot of fights and kills (she was instilled by me before, thinking that Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan movies were all fights, kills, kills), quite warm, and the horses are very cute.

One of the things I realized recently (but I didn't realize it when my kids were younger, and a lot of movies were watched on VCRs and TVs) is that many creative achievers have had the experience of going to the cinema with their parents in their childhood. In modern times, we are often accustomed to watching a movie on the computer, wasting the holiday of going to the cinema to sit and watch a movie, and neglecting the ritual sense of cultural and entertainment life.

Because it was a Jackie Chan film, I remembered that I didn't know what the situation was when he and my grandfather made the movie, so I searched it and found Jackie Chan's autobiography, which really wrote this paragraph. That's when I read about my grandfather Luo Wei and Jackie Chan. It is written that Jackie Chan returned to Hong Kong from Australia and wanted to make a movie. (The so-called autobiography, I guess it was also written by an entertainment writer who listened to Jackie Chan, just like my grandfather's own autobiography "Forty Years of Career in the Film Industry" was actually written for him by an entertainment reporter in Hong Kong). In addition, because I saw that Jackie Chan's autobiography wrote about the filming of "Sword Flowers, Fireworks and Rain Jiangnan", the two photos I saw at home in Hong Kong a few years ago were probably Jackie Chan's in this film. Private photos are also posted here.

The following is a reprint of Jackie Chan's autobiography:

"Although I have only been away for half a year, the general environment of the film industry has changed a lot, and when I returned to the set, I became a complete newcomer again.

I called my brother Sammo Hung and asked him to help me find a job.

Although he bullied us a lot during those years in drama school, after leaving school and starting to mix in society, he has always taken good care of us, and to this day, he is our most admired and respected brother.

Luckily, my brother quickly introduced me to a job.

The movie was called "Shaolin Gate", which was released in 1976, Sammo Hung was the martial arts instructor, I was the assistant director, and the director was John Woo, which was the second collaboration between the two of us.

The first time we worked together on "Passerby", which was later renamed "Iron Man Tenderness", was released after several years.

"Shaolin Gate" is a good movie, not only did I act as a co-director in this movie, but also played a supporting role "Little Brother Tan", playing the overlord gun.

The good times didn't last long, and just when I wanted to continue to put down roots in the industry, Sammo Hung brought bad news.

"After Bruce Lee's death, kung fu films are still sluggish, and the company has recently taken out many projects......"

I understood what he was going to say, not to mention helping us find a job, and even his own job might not be kept.

I collapsed in my chair, not knowing what to do next, I felt cornered again, and eventually, I decided to go to Australia to find my mom and dad, and I had to find a way to survive first.

Not long after I came back from Australia last time, I wanted to make a name for myself and go back, but I didn't expect to go home so quickly, and I was really aggrieved.

When I was working in Australia, I was like a machine every day, and when I got home, I fell asleep, and my father was very happy to see me like this, but my mother slowly saw that I was lonely.

"Child, what you are doing now is not what you want to do, nor is it what you should do. ”

My mother's thoughtfulness made me collapse: "I spent ten years and learned kung fu, but now it is useless, it seems that I have learned it in vain, and I don't know what I should do......"

When I return home at night, I will pick up everything I have at hand and continue to practice, telling myself that the kung fu I have learned in 10 years cannot be wasted.

In 1976, I returned to Hong Kong to prepare for the filming of "New Martial Arts".

When I said goodbye to my parents again, my mother supported me very simply, she knew that was what I really wanted to do, but my father gave me a deadline to return to them completely if I didn't make a name for myself after two years.

Thankfully, I didn't disappoint them this time.

Although the salary is very low, after all, I can participate in the top productions in the industry, Luo Wei is a big director who has personally won the popularity of Bruce Lee, and has filmed works like "Jingwumen" and "Tangshan Big Brother", what reason do I have not to cherish this opportunity?

Although director Luo Wei thought that the actor recommended by Chen Ziqiang was not handsome enough and had a big nose, he had high hopes for me, and he hoped to use the grand production of "New Jingwumen" to bring out a kung fu star again, so he also found the original team.

In Director Luo Wei's office, I signed my first artist contract, the contract period is two years, the monthly income is 3,000 Hong Kong dollars, and the salary for each film is also 3,000 Hong Kong dollars, I have to participate in all the works of director Luo Wei, and accept any role he assigns to me.

Since then, I have had a stable job and have my own stage name - Jackie Chan.

My boss wasn't very happy with my appearance, and in addition to affirming my muscles, Director Luo Wei felt that I needed to correct a lot of things, such as crooked teeth and small eyes.

He suggested that I go for some plastic surgery, and luckily I found all sorts of excuses to escape.

The filming process was not very pleasant, director Luo Wei wanted to portray me as Bruce Lee's second, I played a person who was bent on revenge, cold-blooded, angry, and impersonal, but I didn't agree with this role from the bottom of my heart, and the effect was stiff and ugly.

When I was dubbing, I went to watch the scene, and when I appeared in the picture, I heard the voice actors discuss: "What do you think of this director Luo Wei? What about Jackie Chan? Adult! With a big nose and small eyes, how can he be popular? Waste of money!"

I listened to the tears streaming down, and they didn't know that I was behind, and they continued to scold, so I had to turn around and walk away gently.

The box office of "New Jingwumen" was really a mess, and the moment I saw the numbers, I almost bought a plane ticket and flew back to Australia.

Fortunately, because I signed a contract with the company, Director Luo Wei immediately arranged for me to play the next play, and I acted in several plays in a row, and I would go to watch the dubbing for each one to see if I did well.

Everyone continued to scold, so I hid and listened, and after a long time, I got tired of listening, and sometimes I could fall asleep in the cubicle when I listened to them scolding.

In 1977, director Luo Wei fell in love with Gu Long's novel "Sword Flowers, Fireworks and Rain Jiangnan" and wanted to buy the copyright and let me play it.

On this day, Director Luo and Mrs. Luo made an appointment with Gu Long for dinner, called me, and Jiang David to accompany them.

Gu Long glanced at me and said to Luo Wei: "My scripts are not written for him, my scripts are all for Yue Hua and Luo Lie, with a big nose and small eyes, he can't play my play." ”

Hearing this, my eyes were filled with tears in an instant, and I didn't know what to do, so I could only say to myself in my heart, hold back, hold back, can't cry.

Director Luo Wei played a round game: "Hey, don't say that, newcomer, come on, come on, toast again!"

Throughout the night, I don't know how many cups I drank, I couldn't hold it and went to the toilet to vomit, Jiang David has always been by my side, when I was so vulnerable, fortunately he was there, and I always remember his goodness.

In the end, director Luo Wei paid Gu Long's script fee of 500,000 yuan, and still won the filming rights of "Sword Flower Fireworks and Rain Jiangnan", and Gu Long's request to him was to find the most popular actress at that time to match with me.

At that time, one of the most popular actresses was named Zhang Ling, after she saw me, she expressed her refusal in front of me, I sat there, I really wanted to find a crack in the ground immediately, tears began to roll in my eyes again, but I still had a smile on my face.

Later, Luo Wei found Xu Feng, and she agreed to perform, I already knew her when I was filming director Hu Jinquan's play, and she was very good to me.

This time, she agreed to act, which was also a big encouragement for me, so I was always grateful to her, and I will definitely go if she needs me for anything later.

At that time, Hong Kong kung fu films focused on action scenes, often a wonderful fight and a rare weapon supported a movie, and few teams would seriously consider the literary and drama parts, let alone spend time and energy on the script.

As a result, several dramas either had a poor box office or had no chance of being released at all, and I was naturally dubbed "box office poison" by the outside world.

I was very frustrated, and it didn't seem like I was making any of the movies I wanted to make, and although I could see that there was something wrong with them, I didn't think so clearly, because I had limited experience and I didn't have the opportunity to speak.

Until one day, Wu Siyuan of an independent production company came to him, and he wanted to rent me from the company directed by Luo Wei to make a new film. ”
