1.SEC和FBI对加密货币发起攻击

It's been a bold week for the U.S. government as it has gone too far in cracking down on the crypto industry.

As the SEC opened fire on Ethereum, declaring it a security, Consensys launched a lawsuit this week to counter the SEC's ultra vires. Previously, they disclosed that Consensys received a notice from the SEC Wells that Metamask was an unregistered stock exchange.

It seems that everything is happening at the same time, and the FBI has also issued a warning, urging Americans to use only crypto services that are registered as money services businesses under federal law, i.e., not self-custody services. The government seems to have accelerated the war on cryptocurrency and privacy recently, with even courts calling their actions in cryptocurrency cases a "gross abuse of power."

Although Changpeng Zhao's defense attorneys claimed no knowledge of the particular transaction that was flagged, the prosecution argued that his negligence led to a major compliance lapse for which he must be held responsible. In response, CZ issued a sincere apology letter stating that it would work to correct Binance's compliance deficiencies. In addition, his family, friends, and influential figures, such as the former U.S. ambassador to China and members of the ruling family of the United Arab Emirates, wrote him 161 letters in support of his request for a commutation of his sentence.

5️ Renzo sees 80% decoupling

In a dramatic twist, Renzo's ezETH token experienced a significant 80% decoupling from its expected ETH parity, highlighting the vulnerability of liquid re-staking tokens (LRTs). It happened shortly after Renzo announced the upcoming airdrop, which seemed to destabilize investor confidence, causing the token to plummet and lead to a liquidity crunch. While prices have largely recovered since then, the depeg highlights the risks inherent in nascent, re-staking ecosystems, which in some cases are highly leveraged.
