In order to thoroughly implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important exposition on paying attention to the construction of family education and family style, help the whole people to read, and cultivate children's habits of loving reading and reading good books, on the morning of April 26, the Tehong Community Women's Federation and the New Era Civilization Practice Station carried out the book sharing parent-child reading activity of "Thousands of Families with the Fragrance of Books and Building the Dream of a Strong Country Together" in Xinhua Park.
At the beginning of the activity, the women volunteers explained to the parents the benefits of parent-child reading and the importance of family reading atmosphere to children's growth. Then, under the leadership of the volunteers, each opened the book to read, and the parents explained the knowledge and stories in the book to the children, and immersed themselves in the world of the book together. One of the parents who participated in the event said: "I am usually busy with work and have no time to read with my children, so this time I have the opportunity to sit down and read a book!", and the atmosphere of reading was strong. At the end of the event, the staff of the Community Women's Federation proposed that in daily life, parents should also put down their mobile phones and take time to read books with their children every day, feel the family affection in parent-child reading, immerse themselves in joy, and experience the unique charm of reading.
Parent-child reading is not only a kind of companionship, but also a kind of family education. Parent-child reading activities provide a platform for children to develop good habits and communicate with each other. In the next step, the Tehong Community Women's Federation will continue to focus on the construction of family education and family style, carry out various forms of parent-child interaction activities, and inject new vitality into the construction of a harmonious community.
