The book "Why Should There Be a Library in the World" records the story of young scholar Yang Suqiu who built an "ideal library" from scratch. The author, Yang Suqiu, is a Ph.D. in literature from Soochow University and an associate professor at Shaanxi University of Science and Technology. In the transparent live broadcast room of Yuyuan Road Radio, the first immersive radio space in Shanghai, hosts, authors, translators, scholars, and editors will share a series of freshly baked books, inviting you to meet, hear, and read the spring of books in the "sound" of the city.
The event was guided by the SMG Association of Young and Middle-aged Intellectuals, the Association of Non-Party Intellectuals of the Century Publishing Group and the Association of Young and Middle-aged Intellectuals of the China Taibao, and with the support of Jiangsu Road Street, it was jointly planned and launched by Shanghai People's Radio, Archimedes Media and Century Publishing Group and other publishing houses. The event selects books on hot topics of public concern, such as history and culture, art technology, mental health, and urban stories, and uses the spring book sharing model to let more people feel the joy of reading, taste the charm of words, and enjoy the good time of book infiltration.
