The inspectors of the "Tip of the Heart, Little Dragon Hero Seedling" studio and the law enforcement officers of the Market Supervision and Administration Bureau successively came to the vicinity of three schools, including the East Campus of Tianjiabing Experimental Primary School, Yuanlin No. 2 Middle School, and the Second Experimental Primary School, and focused on checking whether the stationery stores, supermarkets, and commissaries around the campus sell stationery, toys, and food containing pornography, violence, gambling, drugs, and other bad content, and whether the merchants comply with relevant laws and regulations to ensure the quality and safety of goods.
The procurators preached the "Law on the Protection of Minors", "Civil Code", "Food Safety Law", "Product Quality Law" and other legal knowledge to the merchants on the spot, explaining to the operators that bad toys, stationery, expired food, and inferior food will cause harm to the physical and mental health of minors, and that the merchants should also bear the corresponding legal responsibility, and remind the merchants to strictly control the quality of goods, and put an end to the sale of tobacco and alcohol, vulgar toys, stationery and fake and shoddy food to minors.
In this special activity, the law enforcement officers of the Market Supervision and Administration Bureau confiscated 477 copies of unqualified products such as sticky paintings and bubble glue for children. In response to the hidden food safety hazards found in supermarkets such as expired snacks and drinks not being removed from the shelves in a timely manner, and some mobile vendors not applying for health certificates, the merchants were ordered to make corrections within a time limit on the spot, and oral rectification suggestions were put forward, guiding the merchants around the campus to operate in accordance with the law, consciously fulfill their social responsibilities, and jointly create a healthy social environment for the growth of minors.
He Bo, director of the Garden Supervision Institute of Qianjiang Market Supervision Administration, said that he would take the initiative to accept the legal supervision of the procuratorate, actively perform his statutory duties, analyze the reasons for the problems around the weak links in the market supervision around the campus, increase market supervision, and make every effort to purify the surrounding environment of the campus and protect the safety of the market around the campus.
