According to the statistical report of the United States, in the decade of 2010~2020, some of the descendants of the original immigrants have left the three largest cities in the United States - New York, Los Angeles and Chicago and migrated back to some small cities in the south. According to the normal trajectory of the country, people will increasingly gather in large cities to enjoy the convenience of life. But the United States, a country with "bright lights", has started a wave of reverse immigration, what is the problem?
First: In the land of the United States, blacks have always lived at the bottom of society. It is true that amendments have been made to "racial discrimination" before, and even most restrictions on blacks have been waived. For example, the president of the United States can be black, and even blacks can get involved in many fields, but in essence, white Americans have not given up discrimination against blacks, especially in big cities, and this discrimination is even more blatant. In the United States, discrimination is more severe in the South and better in the North, but discrimination is still widespread. So blacks first emigrated from the South to the North, and now they have to move to smaller cities.
Second: In the 2020 U.S. census data, African-Americans make up 14% of the total U.S. population, of which 58% live in the South. But the "place of origin" of blacks is in the South, which means that nearly half of them have left their "hometowns" one after another during these years. According to statistics, between 2010 and 2020, 32,000 to 40,000 new black residents were added to each city. Later statistics found that more blacks did not live in big cities, but preferred smaller cities because of the lower level of discrimination in big cities.
Third: The U.S. Census found that some small cities in the North are beginning to experience abnormal "population growth." The sudden and dramatic increase suggests that more and more blacks are choosing to settle in "small cities." According to statistics, from the 10s to the 60s of the 20th century, in order to escape racial discrimination in the South, millions of black Americans participated in a "great migration" and moved to northern cities to live. And the only explanation for the current mass exodus of these people to small cities is to escape racial discrimination.
The reverse wave of immigration in the United States has directly exposed the ugliness of "American-style democracy". A democracy that stays only "in words" does not help blacks solve their problems. In many incidents, we can see that black people are indeed treated unfairly. But even if they rise up and resist, in the end they still "can't do it", what is the use of this kind of democracy, to cover up for the wrongdoing of white Americans?
