On April 24, 2024, INTERMAT 2024 was grandly opened in Paris, France, where Kobelco Construction Machinery Europe Ltd. exhibited a series of new equipment, ranging from small to heavy machinery and equipment.
In terms of small equipment, Kobelco also showcased its SR series of short-radius excavators, including the all-new SK380SRLC-7 and SK230SRLC-7 excavators. SR short radius excavators are ideal for working in residential areas of cities because they have a smaller working area, which means they can access tighter areas. Both the SK75SR-7 side leak pipe and the SK85MSR-7 excavator will be on display at Intermat. Since mini excavators are often used in landscaping, municipal construction and small construction projects, they are a major component of Kobelco's overall product line. It is quite popular in the French market thanks to the increasing demand for road works and utility maintenance. With this in mind, Kobelco Europe also showcased several mini excavators at Intermat, including the SK58SRX-7, the newly released SK39SR-7, SK28SR-7 and SK26SR-7 models, as well as the SK17SR-3E and SK10SR-2E.
In terms of heavy machinery, the SK350LC-11E aroused great interest from the live audience. Like all of Kobelco's 11th generation machines, the SK350LC-11E follows the concept of "Performance x Design" and achieves exceptional standards in cabin design, ergonomics, comfort and safety. Kobelco's all-new SK520LC-11E heavy-duty crawler excavator made its debut on the European stage and became the focus of the audience. The new 53-tonne model is heavier than its predecessor, the SK500-11, which, according to Kobelco, gives it better stability and improves overall performance by increasing bucket and boom forces. Unlike the Hino engine used in the SK500, the new model uses the Isuzu engine. Equally striking is the new SK380SRLC-7, Kobelco's largest short-radius excavator, replacing the previous 380SRLC model. The model is equipped with a 210 kW Isuzu engine with a 6% increase in power, and an extended replacement interval for diesel particulate filters (DPF) from 4,500 hours to 8,000 hours. During the show, Kobelco will unveil a new slogan "Born for Performance", along with a number of mini and medium-sized excavators. In terms of dismantling the equipment, the updated SK350DLC-11E was presented, which has been changed from the previously used Hino engine to the Isuzu engine.
