Wang Min, Deputy Director of the Propaganda Department of the Anshun Municipal Party Committee and Director of the Municipal Press and Publication Bureau, announced the official launch of the 2024 Xixiu District National Reading Promotion Series and the 21st "Double Reading" Activity; Yao Xiaoying, Vice Chairman of the Guizhou Provincial Federation of Literary and Art Circles and Reading Consultant of Xixiu District, introduced the development of the "Double Reading" activity; and Zhou Dongbing, Member of the Standing Committee of the Xixiu District Party Committee and Director of the Propaganda Department of the District Party Committee, delivered a speech.
It is reported that the "Double Reading" activity is an important brand activity of Anshun public cultural service launched from Xixiu District in 2005. Since the launch of the "double reading" activity in Xixiu District, it has entered 48 rural schools, carried out 100 reading activities, shared more than 300 books, wrote more than 8,000 copies of reading feelings, covered more than 200 rural bookstores in 14 towns and 3 streets, and other convenient reading cultural service positions, and also built 2 of the first most beautiful rural bookstores in Guizhou Province and 1 electronic farmhouse bookstore in the province.
It is understood that in this year's "double reading" activity, Xixiu District will carry out reading salon activities such as "scholarly organs", "scholarly families" and "scholarly campuses" on a regular basis, setting off a new round of reading boom in the district. At the same time, based on the local culture, through the Tunpu lectures, Tunpu studies, etc., let the reading activities promote the Tunpu culture into the organs, communities, families, and campuses, and constantly consolidate the local cultural heritage, and improve the cultural taste of the city.
