Camellia oleifera
Camellia oleifera is one of the favorite foods of Miao, Dong and Zhuang compatriots, at least one round of Camellia oleifera should be played every day, if you do not eat Camellia oleifera one day, you will feel fatigue. Legend has it that a long time ago, there lived a young Miao man named Wuyi at the foot of Yuanbao Mountain. One day, he went up the mountain to hunt as usual, and the weather was hot, and he fell ill from heat stroke, lay under a tree, and fainted. I don't know how long it took, but he felt his mouth cold, and when he opened his eyes, he found that it was the water dripping from the branches and leaves that dripped into his mouth, which woke him up. He plucked the young leaves of the tree and put them in his mouth to chew them, feeling bitter and sweet, and after swallowing them, his strength gradually recovered. He realized that it was the tree that saved his life, so he dug it up and planted it in the vegetable garden, often taking the young leaves to boil water to drink, and in order to drink them in winter, he fried the young leaves and dried them and stored them. Under the influence of Wuyi's propaganda, the ancestors of the Miao nationality are accustomed to drinking tea, and in order to be in a hurry, people put all the food that can be eaten in the tea to eat together, so as to achieve the purpose of quenching their thirst and being full, and gradually evolved into today's camellia.
Herb soup
Baicao soup, also known as biě soup by the locals, is a very peculiar food of the Miao family, and the ethnic minorities regard it as a good hospitality. "Deflated" means "dung" in Guiliu dialect, but cow deflated soup is not cow soup. Because cattle eat herbs, many of the undigested grass residues in the stomach, small intestine and large intestine of cattle are herbs, and ox gall bladder has the effect of anti-inflammatory, so the cow soup is not only a unique delicacy, but also has the functions of anti-inflammatory and table-relieving, stomach-strengthening, dispelling heat, treating inflammation and colds. It is difficult for many outsiders to accept that it is actually a hygienic, scientific and delicious dish.

Big year sauerkraut
Danian sauerkraut is a local unique dish pickled by the Dong people in Danian Township. The production method is roughly as follows: the local green vegetables are washed and dried until semi-dry, chopped and then added an appropriate amount of salt, garlic and glutinous rice, etc., rubbed by hand until crisp and soft, put into the clay pot to pickle, and can be eaten after more than ten days. When eating, it should be mixed with the cooked red dry (raw) chili flakes, fish knotweed, fresh houttuynia cordata, coriander, you can add pork belly or pig, chicken, duck offal, sprinkle an appropriate amount of monosodium glutamate and mix well. The sauerkraut is yellow and clear, bright and crystalline, bright in color, moderate in sourness, crispy and delicious. Danian sauerkraut can also be stir-fried and made into soup stock. The best way to stir-fry is to stir-fry the sauerkraut with dried chili peppers and fresh bamboo shoots (shredded), add a little salt and monosodium glutamate, which is a delicacy that cannot be tasted at the banquet. Used to cook soup, it is generally boiled with fish and shrimp and sauerkraut, plus dried chili, coriander, salt, monosodium glutamate and other seasonings, and it is also a very appetizing sauerkraut fish and shrimp soup.
Hammers
The hammer is called "zongzi" in Miao language. The main raw materials for making hammer sticks are pig blood, pig intestines, glutinous rice, and condiments include mint flowers (dried), orange peel, etc. The method is: when killing pigs, use utensils to contain pig blood, and do not stir pig blood to avoid coagulation. Pour the glutinous rice into the blood basin, put in an appropriate amount of salt, orange peel powder, mint flower powder, etc., and then mix well, and then pour the mixture into the washed pig's small intestine, 0.3 meters for a section tied with a rope, tie a knot, 4 ~ 5 knots into a string. Put it in a large pot of water and boil, use a bamboo needle to pierce the appropriate part while cooking, and use a spatula to soak the piercing mouth in boiling water when pricking the needle, so that the blood can coagulate and avoid squirting. At the same time, the needle prick is also conducive to the breathability of the hammer rod and is easy to cook. This dish is generally made when the pig is killed during the seedling year, the Spring Festival or major festivals, and it is a delicacy to entertain distinguished guests.
