Ali in western Tibet

There is not only beautiful natural scenery

It also has a deep historical heritage

Just like Mr. Yu Minhong during his trip to Tibet

Talking about his deepest impression of Ali, he said:

"Superb natural scenery and profound cultural skills"

What are the unique cultural and folk customs of Ali?

Let's take a look!

01

Changed to Senguo costumes

Senguo costumes, the intangible cultural heritage of the Tibet Autonomous Region, are one of the most representative cultural symbols of the reform. The costume of Senguo resembles a seven-colored rainbow, which is said to have been worn by one of the princesses of King Gesar, Senjiang Zhuomu, when he ascended to heaven, and later evolved into today's national costume with strong regional characteristics and cultural colors.

Japanese and Turkish harmonic Ba Harmonima

The Japanese-Turkish "Harmonic Harmony" is an intangible cultural heritage of the Tibet Autonomous Region. Legend has it that the dance was performed in honor of a famous minister of King Gesar. The dance takes the form of 17 pairs of men and women, dressed in ancient costumes, with men dressed as samurai and holding ancient swords, and women dressed in ornate costumes.

03

Pransan costumes

Pulan National Intangible Cultural Heritage "Xuan" costume (also known as "flying costume" or "peacock costume"). The costumes are decorated with jewels such as gold, silver, turquoise, agate, red coral, pearls and yellow fields, the headdress is tinkling, and the robes and shawls are like peacocks. The craftsmanship is a stunning blend of garment weaving, gold and silver, embroidery and sewing techniques from Han, Tibetan, Nepalese, Indian and many other countries and nationalities.

Koga Tibetan opera

Kejia Tibetan Opera comes from Kejia Village, Pulan County, and most of them are different from Lhasa Tibetan Opera in terms of singing, dancing, and tunes. There are only two accompaniment instruments in Tibetan opera: drums and cymbals, one for each of them, and there is not much dialogue.

The Koga Tibetan Theatre has five repertoire, namely "Prince of Lausanne", "Drowasam", "White Horse Omba", "Lang Saumpo", and "Zhimei Gondan". Among them, the most focused program is "Prince of Lausanne", which is the most difficult, longest, and most tiring of the five, and it tells a story related to Puran.

05

Hsiang-mai

The "Xuan" dance originated in the ancient kingdom of Zhangxiong and continued to develop during the Guge period.

Xuan dance is a kind of original dance art, which integrates the main Tibetan folk arts such as Tibetan opera, dance, rap, etc., and adds new developments and changes on this basis, with its own unique style and charm.

In 2008, the "Xuan" dance was included in the national intangible cultural heritage list. In Zada and Puran, you can see the graceful dance posture of Xuan Dance, and the form of performance is different.
