In order to help children better observe and record and integrate into nature in the planting area, harvest good habits and moral qualities in labor practice education, and at the same time, improve the level of teachers to carry out planting activities, recently, Hengyuan Kindergarten has carried out planting area building and planting narrative exchange activities under the guidance of provincial projects.
Preliminary planning: draw a blueprint for planting
Teachers in each class work with the children to plan and design the plantation. From site selection to planning to layout, every step embodies the wisdom and creativity of teachers and children. The children actively participated in the planting and drew the blueprint of the planting area, which laid a solid foundation for the later planting activities.
Narrative exchange: build a planting paradise together
During the activity, the teachers of each class shared the process of planting with the children, focusing on the transformation of the plantation land by the class according to the field conditions, the selection of planting varieties, and the difficulties and solutions encountered in the planting process.
Each class makes full use of natural resources and parent resources, comprehensively considers seasonality, childlike fun and participation, and records the transformation journey of the plantation on a time-axis. At the same time, the clever use of waste items to create a micro-landscape, children in the courtyard to enjoy painting, activities, so that the plantation is more educational and valuable.
Leader's Comments: Point out the way forward
Shen Lan, deputy director of the kindergarten, made a guiding speech, she advocated the concept of "really do, do real", emphasizing that adults should fully respect the main position of children, and give the planting process to children to experience and practice. Teachers are encouraged to deeply reflect on and discuss the educational value of planting activities, in order to let children truly experience the beauty of life in the "perfect, artistic and innocent" outdoor planting activities under the "deep cultivation" of teachers and children.
The kindergarten will take this activity as an opportunity to further observe and think deeply in the activity, and truly become a booster to support children's deep learning and development.
