Mr. Sun Guoguang
Sun Guoguang was born in 1942 in Fengtai, Anhui Province. He is the first executive director of Xinjiang Academy of Chinese Painting, vice president of Xinjiang Flower and Bird Painting Research Association, and member of Xinjiang Art Association. Since the 60s of the last century, his works have been published in domestic newspapers and periodicals, and he has been selected for various art exhibitions and won awards for many times. He has published "Sun Guoguang's Painting Collection", "Sketch: Coconut Wind and Sea Rhyme", "Happy Pen Landscape Sketch", etc. He has been engaged in journalism for a long time, successively serving as a reporter, editor, and editor-in-chief.

Let's start with two of my paintings of flowers and birds
Every winter, I spend most of my time in Hainan, where the flowers bloom in all seasons. Whenever I go to some villages to sketch, I often see chickens foraging and resting under the plantains. It's a very interesting and picturesque scene. "Dorje Tu" reproduces this small rural scene.
Dorje Tu
"Dorje Tu" is a four-foot painting of flowers and birds. He has been included in the "Xinjiang Art Series · Contemporary Painting Volume. On the picture, three wide and drooping banana leaves are drawn with a straight and lively central line. Under the banana leaves, on the soft grass, three big roosters lie idle. I don't know if it was the sudden gust of wind that moved the banana leaves, or the sound of the morning dew falling on the banana leaves, which made them excited and ready to stand tall. And invariably cast a surprised gaze to the source of the sound, that is, the upper right side of the picture. This wonderful moment not only raised the momentum of the picture, but also made the whole picture full of interest and artistic conception.
Banana leaves. Covering about three-quarters of the picture, the application of a lighter ink color does not affect the thematic status of the heavily inked rooster at the bottom. The bamboo leaves pressed on the scorched leaves and the inscription are also thick ink. Therefore, the whole picture is not only full of vitality and dynamic, but also calm and heavy.
In the past ten years, every time in the golden autumn season when "the golden wind is full of ravines, and the forests are dyed with a color of autumn", I will go up to the depths of the Tianshan Mountains, half sketching and half touring the mountains.
Tianshan Outer Male Inner Show. The golden autumn season is even more colorful, and the wind is pine. In the dark green spruce forest, the tender yellow birch is dotted. The orange, red and dark purple mixed trees and shrubs on both sides of the mountain road are beautiful in the autumn sun, reflected in the mountain stream. There are snowcocks crowing from time to time in the red pine forest under Bogda Peak, and a few chickadees fall on the bank of the creek not far away, and a few chickadees are chirping and jumping on the ground. At this time, I suddenly remembered the phrase "live and work in peace and contentment" that people often talk about. So I used the homonym of "falling leaves" and "happy industry" to conceive a picture of two quails standing on the fallen leaves.
Sit under one’s own vine and fig tree
So I walked along the bank of the stream, carefully selected more than a dozen colorful autumn leaves of different sizes and shapes, and carefully sandwiched them in my sketchbook. When I returned to the studio, I hurriedly spread out the paper, sharpened the ink and mixed the colors. With the color that brings back the leaves approximately, gently apply to the selected leaves. Then, according to the needs of the composition of the picture, it is rubbed to the selected position. Later, on top of the rubbed leaves, a pair of quail birds were drawn. Finally, coordinate the picture, make up the banana leaves, and inscribe. In this way, a painting of "Living and Working in Peace" has been completed.
Practice has proved that painting in nature can not only accumulate materials for creation, but also stimulate creative inspiration and enthusiasm. It is in response to the ancients' saying that "foreign teachers create nature, and the heart is the source". In addition, walking and sketching among the mountains, rivers and clouds can also exercise and breathe less polluted air. Of course, there are times when you get a little upset. For example, one summer, I was sketching in the Tianshan Mountains. For a while, I couldn't find the herdsman's house that I had returned to sleep overnight, and I was a little anxious. Afterwards, he wrote a small poem to record this unforgettable scene:
Twisting and turning ravines are deep,
Bumpy and bumpy roads are hard to find.
Up and down stone path insurance,
The sky is vast and the twilight is deep.
Suddenly I saw the sheep baating back to the circle,
幸遇匆匆牧归人。
With the smoke of the cooking,
See also the night and night in the village.
Of course, there are not many such things. Sketching in the field all year round is still a lot of fun.
For example, in the mountains:
Mountains and streams and mountain flowers are close to each other,
White clouds float above and below the ridge
The wind is clear and the day warms the teacher's creation,
Leisurely and free, the pen and ink are new.
On the beach of the coast:
The tide rises and falls,
There was thunder in front of the breakwater.
Only the stone sketcher,
Still watching the gulls fly.
In the desert Gobi:
The desert is crippled in autumn,
Sketch poplar forest under the cold.
stiff hand toning point sparse leaves,
The clumsy pen dipped in ink and the painting withered.
Suddenly I heard the chirping of the treetop finches,
When I looked up, I was already flying away.
It's hard to stop writing in your hand,
Helplessly, the sunset fell on the sand mountain.
On the summer pastures:
Exotic flowers and plants scatter fragrance,
The summer pasture is busy sketching.
The painting paper is drunk before the exhibition,
The eyes are dark purple and light yellow.
With a heart of gratitude and awe for nature, I will never tire of painting and conveying love to the landscape, clouds, forests, flowers, birds and birds!
