Secondly, long-term eye fatigue can lead to deeper myopia; it affects people's learning and work efficiency. The National Health Commission issued the "Guidelines for the Prevention of Myopia in Children and Adolescents During the Covid-19 Epidemic", which mentions that the family is the main place for children and adolescents to live and learn, and the lighting and lighting conditions of the home are crucial to the eye hygiene of children and adolescents.

Liu Xinhou, former director and researcher of the Institute of Physical and Chemical Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, believes that the home lighting source should use three primary color light source lighting equipment, and the color temperature of the table lamp should not exceed 4000K. Home lighting should not use bare lights, that is, can not directly use the lamp or bulb, but should use a lamp or bulb with lampshade protection to protect the eyes from glare.

Zhang Jian also believes that not all blue light is harmful, mainly depending on the wavelength. Simply put, blue light below 445 nm is required to be called "harmful blue light"; blue light with a wavelength of 445 nm or more is called "beneficial blue light".

Human life is inseparable from the display screen and the television. The main source of harmful blue light is led LCD screen, its usual blue LED backlight technology has formed what we call harmful blue light eye problem. OlED organic TVs with no harmful blue light radiation become the new choice. In order to avoid the damage of blue light to the eyes as much as possible, it is still necessary to choose mobile phones, tablets, displays, and TVs that filter blue light.

At present, more and more laser products have been added to the family, and laser TVs, laser ranging, etc. have been widely used. The red, green and blue visible laser beam in the laser TV is projected onto the screen after the beam expansion and shaping equipment, and the luminous image seen by the human eye is already a soft light and will not cause harm to the human eye.

Liu Xinhou said that household lasers, in the case of meeting the standard, the power will not be greater than a few milliwatts, usually as long as the purchase of regular brand goods that meet the standard, will not cause permanent damage to the eyes.

Products such as laser TVs are usually equipped with human eye protection devices, which can automatically reduce the brightness when the human eye is close to the laser beam, further avoiding damage to the human eye. However, at present, some cleaning appliances such as wireless vacuum cleaners use laser ranging and pollution monitoring to cause eye discomfort, and no eye protection device is installed, resulting in laser irradiation for a long time, and the tears after pets look directly at the laser are likely to be caused by too long direct shooting time. It is recommended that the purchase of such products depends on the family environment.

Reduce the rate of myopia in children and adolescents The whole society is in action

The development of myopia, like the same one-way line without a return trip, is irreversible. The development of science and technology does promote many industries to roll forward, but the eye and optical health problems of adolescents have increased, and the choice of light sources and screen products is the top priority at present, and the achievements are important and health is equally important.

Zhang Jian said that the incidence of myopia in long-term close-range eye users is high, which is also the main reason for the high incidence of myopia in adolescents in China. If it is superimposed on factors such as poor ambient lighting, reading handwriting is too small or blurry, continuous reading time is too long, lack of outdoor activities, etc., it will further promote the occurrence and development of myopia.

As early as August 30, 2018, with the consent of the State Council, the Ministry of Education and eight other departments jointly issued the Implementation Plan for the Comprehensive Prevention and Control of Myopia in Children and Adolescents.

The "Implementation Plan" proposes that by 2023, strive to reduce the overall myopia rate of children and adolescents in the country by more than 0.5 percentage points per year on the basis of 2018, and reduce the myopia high incidence provinces by more than 1 percentage point per year. By 2030, the rate of new myopia in children and adolescents will be significantly reduced, and the overall level of vision health will be significantly improved, and the myopia rate of 6-year-old children will be controlled at about 3%, the myopia rate of primary school students will drop to less than 38%, the myopia rate of junior high school students will drop to less than 60%, and the myopia rate of high school students will drop to less than 70%.

A few days ago, the Ministry of Education and other 15 departments jointly issued the "Bright Action Work Plan for the Prevention and Control of Myopia in Children and Adolescents (2021-2025)" (hereinafter referred to as "Bright Action"). Through joint efforts to carry out the Bright Action for the Prevention and Control of Myopia in Children and Adolescents, we will strive to overcome the impact of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, improve the prevention and control system for myopia in children and adolescents, and strive to continuously reduce the myopia rate of children and adolescents every year by 2025.

Relevant studies have proved that children who participate in outdoor activities have less myopia and children who participate in outdoor activities have more myopia. Wei Shihui said that lifestyle changes make young people see things closer and closer, which can actually cause problems such as ciliary muscle paralysis, which may affect human genetics over time.

To this end, Wei Shihui hopes that young people will put down their electronic products and try to go outdoors to take a look.
