Still can't get into rotation? Nash on Thomas: He has a bright future, but it will take time

Nets coach Nash was recently interviewed by New York Post reporter Zach Braziller, in which he talked about the team's rookie Cameron Thomas.

"Playing with so many veterans can be a difficult thing for him. I think he understands the game at this level, understands the defence, and all those things that he still needs to develop will take time. He just turned 20. He will play a completely different role in the game than before. Nash said.

The reporter also pointed out that the addition of experienced defenders such as Jevon Carter and Patty Mills may make it difficult for Thomas to get a chance to play at the beginning.

Nash added: "I think he still has some things to make up for, but we like him as a player and think he has a bright future, but it may take some time. He joined a challenging team. ”

In this season's preseason, Thomas averaged 12.5 minutes per game, 10.5 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.3 assists.
