On April 20th and 21st, 2024, in order to implement Mr. Wan Guangzhi's concept of "living literature", systematically discuss the development of folk songs and Chinese culture, and carry out a multidisciplinary dialogue on the basis of summarizing the research results of a century of folk songs, so as to enhance academic exchanges and promote the study of folk songs, Zheng Qiyou, a member of the Xuzhou District Folk Literature and Art Association of Yibin City and the China Folk Literature and Art Association, and Yang Xiaojiang, an undergraduate student of the School of Literature of Sichuan Normal University, participated in the "Folk Songs and Singing from a Multidisciplinary Perspective" of West China Folklore at the Vienna Hotel in Jinjiang District, Chengdu"Academic Seminar.

This academic symposium gathered the national folk customs and was divided into four sessions, each with three groups for academic discussions. The first session is the study of the academic history of ballads, the linguistics of ballads, and the folklore of ballads, the second is the study of folk singing traditions, the contemporary inheritance of ballads, and the academic history of ballad studies, the third is the study of ballads and modern China, ballads and regional culture, and ethnic minority ballads, and the fourth session is the study of 1949: the reconstruction of folk literature theory of the people and New China, the study of the cultural connotation of songs, and the study of ballads and Bashu culture. Zheng Qiyou and undergraduate student Yang Xiaojiang shared their research on folk songs in the third session: Ballads and Regional Culture, and their paper was entitled "Research on the Female Image of Yibin Hengjiang Folk Songs". A total of nine delegates made speeches, and each representative presented their research results on folk songs from different research angles and methods, realizing the exchange of folk song research from a multidisciplinary perspective. Zheng Qiyou, as the fourth-generation inheritor of Yibin Hengjiang folk songs, personally sang Shicheng Mountain folk songs when he spoke, so that the scholars present really felt the charm of Shicheng Mountain folk songs, and at the same time, through the analysis of the content of folk songs, it showed the rich three-dimensional female image created in Shicheng Mountain folk songs and the local folk customs they reflected, which won loud applause and high recognition from the audience, and then the fierce group exchanges also made the academic sharing reach a climax。
