Nearly 200 young athletes from 36 representative teams from many provinces and cities across the country competed fiercely in the four events of the National Defense Sports Biathlon, the Ice and Snow Warrior Snow Battle Competition, the Ice and Snow Warrior Jungle Field Competition, and the Ice and Snow Warrior Mine Clearance Competition, and finally the Ascendas Team of Hebei Yanshan Middle School finally won the Youth Group Championship, and Shangzhi Children's Sports School won the Junior Championship.

This event is the first national defense sports ice and snow competition held by the China Youth National Defense Sports Development Alliance in winter. On the evening of the 11th, a grand opening ceremony was held at the Hailin City Gymnasium. The opening ceremony was presided over by Liu Peili, member of the Standing Committee of the Hailin Municipal Party Committee. Chen Zhe, director of the Heilongjiang Provincial Sports Bureau, said in his opening speech that this competition relies on the natural ecological advantages of Heilongjiang's ice and snow, large forest, and great boundary river, and adopts a new model of "national defense sports + ice and snow sports" integration, which fully demonstrates the unique charm of ice and snow national defense sports competitions. The activities not only allow young people to have fun and education in sports, but also receive national defense and patriotism education, but also enhance national defense skills and physical fitness, and realize the integration of anti-coalition warriors and young people in the new era across time and space. In recent years, the Heilongjiang Provincial Sports Bureau has regarded national defense sports as a key project of youth sports, successfully held two provincial youth national defense sports science and technology competitions, and held the "Million Teenagers Re-walk the Anti-United Road" national defense sports science and technology research camp for two consecutive years, creating a strong atmosphere of national defense sports activities in the province.
The town of Hengdaohe in Hailin City, where the ice and snow competition was held, is a town with a history of more than 100 years. The town was founded in 1897 during the construction of the Eastern Qing Railway (Middle East Railway) and is a military fortress in northeast China. The town is densely forested and rich in vegetation, which is a typical northeastern mountain scenery, which is the location of the bandit site described in the novel "Forest Sea Snow Field". Hailin City has the country's earliest alpine ski resort - the People's Liberation Army "Bayi" Ski Resort, with the Lotus Lake National Water Sports Training Base, the national kayak team trained here, in the "Beijing Olympic Games" to create a "one gold and two silver" good results, Hailin was also awarded the "Olympic Games National Outstanding Contribution Award".

National defense sports for young people are an important content of national defense education and an effective means for cultivating the patriotic, collectivist spirit, and tenacious will of young people. In 2018, the State General Administration of Sport issued the Implementation Outline for Driving 300 Million People to Participate in Ice and Snow Sports. The China Youth National Defense Sports Development Alliance and the Heilongjiang Provincial Sports Bureau actively responded to the call of the General Administration and began to plan the national defense sports ice and snow competition, committed to integrating the three elements of national defense, sports, ice and snow. After more than a year of research and practice, a complete set of feasible competition rules and referee rules, as well as the national defense sports biathlon, the ice and snow warrior snow battle match, the ice warrior jungle field game, the ice warrior mine clearance competition, the four sports that integrate national defense, sports and ice and snow competitions have finally been released.
"The rules of the competition and the rules of the referee, as well as the four competition items, are all studied by us and the comrades of the Heilongjiang Work Department of the Alliance. We just want to know how to integrate the elements of national defense, sports, ice and snow into one. It is necessary to take into account the enforceability and safety of the event, as well as the confrontation and fun, to meet the characteristics of youth sports, but also to consider the combination of sports and education. After the report of the event regulations, it is also highly recognized by the Youth Sports Department of the State General Administration of Sports, the China Mountaineering Association and the National Federation of Sports Schools. In this competition, according to the characteristics and rules of the four competitions, the organizing committee selected 50 experienced and outstanding referees from the province to referee the competition. The judges of the Warriors Biathlon are trained by professional ski referees; the Ice Warrior SnowBall Battle Tournament is headed by veteran national basketball referee Sun Limin; the Ice Warrior Mine Clearance Tournament is led by national curling referee Niu Xiaoxian and the women's curling world champion Zhou Yan; and the Ice Warrior Jungle Field Tournament is refereed by experienced outward training instructors.

Zhu Liangtao, a member of the Zhejiang Exotic Ice and Snow Team, also won the national youth gymnastics championship. Because of his love of skiing, he switched to the snowboarding skills project. "We only have indoor ski slopes there, and artificial snow is not the same as the snow here.
