From April 17 to 19, 2024, sponsored by the Publicity and Education Center of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, and co-organized by China Automotive News Co., Ltd., Green Innovation and Development Research Institute, Guangdong Low Carbon Development Promotion Association, BYD Automobile Industry Co., Ltd., Shenzhen International Low Carbon Forum Development Center, and Shenzhen Avenue Climate Change Promotion Center, the Automotive Industry Capacity Building Workshop was successfully held in Shenzhen. Representatives from national pollution and carbon reduction research institutions, industry associations, and automobile companies gathered together to discuss new paths and models for synergy in pollution reduction and carbon reduction in the automotive industry.

Representatives from the Publicity, Education and Technology Department of the Department of Ecology and Environment of Guangdong Province, the Environmental Protection Publicity and Education Center of Guangdong Province, and the Mobile Source Emission Management Office of the Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment attended the workshop. In his speech, Deputy Secretary Lin Yu pointed out that the synergy of pollution reduction and carbon reduction is an important starting point for the comprehensive green transformation of the mainland's economic and social development. The Implementation Plan for Synergy in Pollution Reduction and Carbon Reduction jointly issued by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment and other seven departments puts forward clear requirements for promoting synergy in pollution reduction and carbon reduction in transportation and other fields. We hope that through the joint efforts of all parties, we will jointly promote the implementation of the synergy of pollution reduction and carbon reduction in the automotive industry.
Vice President Zhao Jianping introduced the practical actions and experience of BYD's pollution and carbon reduction work. Secretary-General Wang Dong shared the achievements of the Shenzhen International Low-Carbon City Forum and the synergy of Shenzhen's green and low-carbon technology innovation and development to help reduce pollution and carbon emissions.
