On the morning of April 19, Jiading Industrial Zone held the 2024 Road Traffic Safety Work Conference, which mainly conveyed the spirit of the higher-level meeting and deployed the road traffic safety work in the next stage of the industrial zone.
Fan Weidong, deputy secretary of the Party Working Committee of the industrial zone, emphasized that it is necessary to recognize the grim situation, enhance the tenacity of work, maintain focus, and continue to make efforts to ensure that the road traffic safety situation in the jurisdiction is always under control. He put forward three opinions on solidly promoting the implementation of various work measures:
The first is to highlight the key points and increase the investigation and rectification of hidden dangers. It is necessary to further improve the road traffic infrastructure, make up for the shortcomings of rural traffic, incorporate the rectification of road hazards into the strategic work plan for rural revitalization, carry out treatment and renovation of hidden road sections, and increase the rectification and transformation of hidden road sections near the water and river.
The second is to aim at the breakthrough point and tackle the key road sections in the jurisdiction. For some sections of the road where heavy vehicles are dense and potential safety hazards are prominent, combined with the promotion of renovation and maintenance projects, we will refine and formulate comprehensive treatment plans, systematically transform all kinds of traffic facilities, and strive to solve problems from the source.
The third is to find the right entry point and implement targeted and precise traffic publicity. It is necessary to take traffic safety publicity and education as a basic work and make unremitting efforts. For several types of key objects of road traffic safety work, we must take a multi-pronged approach, continue to make efforts, and strive to help them improve their safety awareness.
