The Central Meteorological Observatory predicts that from 3 to 5 May, there will be heavy to heavy rain from west to east in central and eastern Guizhou, southern Jianghan, Jianghuai, Jiangnan, and southern China, with a cumulative rainfall of 40-80 mm, 100-180 mm in parts of southeastern Hunan, south-central Jiangxi, northeastern Guangxi, and north-central Guangdong, and up to 200-250 mm locally.
The maximum hourly rainfall in the above-mentioned areas is 30-50 mm, and locally it can reach more than 70 mm, and Guizhou, central and eastern Guangxi, and central and western Guangdong will have strong convective weather such as thunderstorms, strong winds or hail of magnitude 8-10.
