Tangshan in April, the blue sea and blue sky, the warm breeze is light.
At 9 o'clock in the morning of the 20th, at the wharf of Caofeidian Port Area of Tangshan Port in Hebei Province, a whistle sounded, and the Tangshan ship of the Navy slowly docked.
The sound of music, applause...... The people of Tangshan City warmly welcomed the battleship back to its hometown.
"I got up at 3 o'clock in the morning to make dumplings, and also prepared hemp candy and halva, so that my comrades-in-arms on the Tangshan ship could taste the taste of their hometown. Seeing the ship slowly berthing, veteran Liu Baoen could not hide his excitement. He joined the army in 1982 and served in a navy department. Now, his son Liu Xi has become a member of the Tangshan ship, and he is very pleased and proud that the father and son have continued to guard the motherland's maritime frontier for two generations.
From 20 to 24 April, the Navy organized activities to open its barracks in Qingdao, Dalian, Yantai, Shanghai, Xiamen, Guangzhou, Zhanjiang, Haikou, and Sanya. At the ports and wharves of Yantai, Wenzhou, and other places, the warships returned to their "second hometowns" and reported to their relatives in their hometowns; at a certain naval base on the coast of the East China Sea, a certain naval brigade on the coast of the South China Sea, and a certain naval port in the Northern Theater, many warships named after mountains and lakes, such as the Wuyishan, Taishan, Hengshan, and Hongzehu ships, also welcomed a condolence group from the local government into the camp......
According to reports, this year, the navy will take Qingdao as its main home and organize a series of activities of "opening up 100 ships and celebrating together in 100 cities." Various types of warships will be displayed in a concentrated manner, and naval barracks in many cities will be opened to the public. Cities and ships, because of the same name, because of the same kind of responsibility, warships and cities go in both directions, blood is connected, and the spirit is blended, injecting new connotations into the high-quality development of double-support work in the new era.
What does it mean when a warship meets a city?" means an honor, a responsibility, a concern, and it also means the spiritual integration and harmony of each other, and the infinite power generated by it. Li Changzeng, a first-class sergeant major of the Wenzhou ship, told reporters that over the years, he has grown up with the ship and witnessed the military and civilian situation of "city and ship joint construction".
The heroic warship worked hard in the care and love of the people in their hometown, and left the mark of the times on the glorious voyage to the open sea and the ocean. Behind the dark blue track and brilliant achievements, what is condensed is the majestic force of military and civilian construction, and what is painted is a magnificent picture of "the same name of the ship city and the same heart of the ship and the people".
