Sanyin County staff sports activities opened
April is full of flowers, and it is a good time for exercise. This year marks the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and a crucial year for the implementation of the 14th Five-Year Plan. In order to fully implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, implement the national fitness plan, the Healthy China Action and the spirit of the 18th National Congress of the Chinese Trade Unions, and continuously promote the formation of a healthy, civilized, high-spirited, and full participation in sports activities in the county. On the morning of April 23, the 2024 "Chinese Dream, Labor Beauty-Striving for a New Journey, Contributing to a New Era" Shanyin County Staff Sports Activity, which was carefully organized and co-sponsored by the County Federation of Trade Unions and the County Health and Sports Bureau, was grandly opened in the county gymnasium.
Zhang Wenping, deputy secretary of the county party committee and chairman of the county federation of trade unions, attended the opening ceremony and announced the opening of the event. Chen Xu, Secretary of the Party Group and Executive Vice Chairman of the County Federation of Trade Unions, delivered an opening speech, and Lu Zhiyu, Director of the County Health and Sports Bureau, presided over the opening ceremony. The main responsible comrades of the County Federation of Trade Unions, the County Health and Sports Bureau, and the Chenghui Property Gymnasium and 34 employee representative teams, athletes, coaches, and referees from various organs, enterprises and institutions in the county attended the opening ceremony.
On behalf of the organizers, Chen Xu expressed warm congratulations on the holding of this competition, extended a warm welcome to all the leaders, guests, referees and athletes attending the opening ceremony, and expressed heartfelt thanks and high respect to the leaders from all walks of life and people from all walks of life who have long cared for and supported the mass sports activities of Sanyin employees. He said that the development of sports and the enhancement of the people's physique are an important foundation for achieving national strength and national rejuvenation, and an important symbol of social civilization and harmonious progress. In recent years, a number of staff sports activities sponsored by the county federation of trade unions and the county health and sports bureau have made the county's mass sports activities with employees as the main body have been vigorously developed. This staff sports activity is not only a concentrated display of the physical fitness and spiritual outlook of the county's cadres and workers, but also a specific measure for the county to deeply study and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the implementation of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important exposition on building a strong country through sports. It is hoped that the broad masses of workers can work hard and forge ahead like spring sprouts, bravely climb the peak, strictly abide by the rules of the game, and respect the spirit of sportsmanship. The style, level, morality, personality, unity and friendship of the competition fully demonstrate the love and positive spirit of the cadres and workers in Shanyin County.
It is reported that the staff sports activity will last for 4 days, and the scale of the event, the number of applicants and the participating teams have broken through the record high. There are 12 sub-events in three categories: table tennis, badminton and Chinese chess.
