In Chengqiao Town, many roads in the city are planted on both sides of the plane tree, every April, as the temperature rises, the new leaves of the plane tree grow, the ripe fruit balls in previous years crack, fall off, a large number of fruit hairs fall from the tree, forming a "drizzle", to the pedestrians under the tree to bring a lot of trouble. "When you pass under a tree, you can get allergies when they fall on your face. A citizen told reporters.
The reporter learned from the district greening department that in the past, for the plane trees on some roads in the urban area of Chengqiao Town, due to their long age and tall leaves, the use of light pruning of the fly floc disposal method, but the fly floc control effect is not ideal. This year, Chongming opened the physical scouring method of "blowing, flushing and sweeping" for the first time to prevent and control fruit hair flying.
At 9 o'clock in the evening of April 22, at the intersection of Ximen Road and Nanmen Road in the city, the District Greening Management Office, together with the traffic police, sanitation, municipal administration and Chengqiao Town, officially launched the first round of plane tree fruit hair fly fly control work. On the first day of the work, it is planned to complete the plane tree washing work on both sides of the two roads of Ximen Road and Beimen Road in the city, with nearly 200 trees nearly 50 years old and trees with a height of 12 to 15 meters.
At the prevention and control work site of plane tree fruit hair flying, the road is opened by the guide car, and two large fog cannon trucks march slowly, spraying water mist to the plane branches and leaves on both sides of Ximen Road, the height of the water mist can reach up to 15 meters, and the washing vehicle follows with a high-pressure water gun to supplement the washing of tree branches and leaves, and the water mist falls to the ground with the fruit hairs. The sanitation department washes the vehicles and the manual team follows the convoy to complete the ground washing and cleaning.
According to the plan, the first round of plane tree fruit hair fly fly control work will last for 5 nights, the total number of washed trees is 968, in order to reduce the impact on pedestrians and passing vehicles as much as possible, the prevention and control work is carried out after 9 o'clock in the evening, the prevention and control scope covers the main sections of Ximen Road, Renmin Road, Bayi Road, Zhongjinqiao Road, Xinchongdong Road and other major road sections in the city, and the second round of operations will be launched according to the first round of prevention and control effect.
