In order to further strengthen and standardize the management and safe use of precursor chemicals stored in school laboratories, according to the requirements of the special action to concentrate on the rectification of stubborn and chronic diseases in anti-drug problems, from the end of March to the end of April, the county drug control office and the county education bureau conducted safety management inspections on schools with precursor chemicals stored in the county.
Accompanied by the person in charge of the laboratory, the inspectors inspected the implementation of the safety management and storage of precursor chemicals, the installation and operation of surveillance video, the entry and exit of the warehouse and the recycling of solid-liquid waste, etc., and carried out a detailed inspection of the specific use, quantity and specifications, access time, and remaining stock of various precursor chemicals such as sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, and potassium permanganate.
Through on-site inspections, 14 potential safety hazards were found to be rectified, and 14 rectification notices were issued within a time limit. At the same time, through oral explanation, the relevant staff of the school and the employees of the hazardous chemicals storage room popularized the common sense of anti-drug and the safe use of precursor chemicals.
This safety inspection has further improved the awareness of law-abiding self-discipline and safety responsibility of the users of precursor chemicals in the school, eliminated the hidden dangers of the use of precursor chemicals on campus to the greatest extent, and laid a solid foundation for effectively preventing the flow of precursor chemicals into illegal channels and ensuring the safe development of the management of precursor chemicals on campus.
