Originally known as "Old Things Revisited", "Morning Flowers and Sunset" is Lu Xun's only collection of essays, including 10 articles, most of which are texts recalling different life experiences and experiences in childhood, adolescence and youth, plus a "small introduction" and a "postscript". "Postscript to "Morning Flowers and Evening Picks" was originally published in Mangyuan, a semi-monthly magazine, Vol. 2, No. 15 (August 10, 1927).

On the evening of July 14th, Li Zhongdan gave a basket of lychees, half of which was given to the same people in Beixin Bookstore.

Beixin Book House opened on March 25, 1927 in Fangcao Street, Guangzhou, and was usually run by Xu Guangping's sister Xu Yueping. Lu Xun thought that "the literary world in Guangzhou is too lonely, and I want to 'provoke' it", which was the original intention of opening this bookstore. He often took time to come here to meet with young people to talk about literature, and once talked freely about the influence of Weimingshe books and magazines in the north.

The store is located on the second floor of No. 44 Fangcao Street, Huiai East Road (now Zhongshan 4th Road), and was originally rented by Sun Fuyuan, with a rent of 60 yuan per month. There are two rooms and a kitchen. Sun Fuyuan left Guangdong to go to Wuhan, left this house, and just re-leased it as a book house, opened a store in the front room, and lived in the back room. Bookshelves stand on three sides of the front room, with a long cabinet in the center, where customers can stand between the shelves to select books.

Although Beixin Book Company does not participate in the operation or interfere with the operation, it provides a large number of book support. Beixin Bookstore is actually equivalent to the consignment point of Beixin Bookstore and Weiming Society. According to Lu Xunri's records, he received 9 packs of books on March 17, 26 packs on the 24th, and 15 packs on the 25th, and then received books every month, at most once on April 30, 32 packs of books from Beixin Book Company, and 8 packs of books from Weimingshe on the same day. Lu Xun once wrote to remind Li Jiye: "I hope to send books in the future, and you can refer to the packaging method of Beixin to avoid losses." ”

In the first two months of its opening, business was booming. Lu Xun said in a letter to Li Jiye on April 9: "The books sent back before, "The Ivory Tower", "The Tomb" and "About Lu Xun", have all been sold out, and I hope to continue sending them immediately. The combined version of "Mangyuan" will be sold out, and there are still many people, so you can send twenty copies immediately. "Ten copies of The Poor Man are sold, and ten more copies can be sent. "If Torozki's literary criticism is printed, I think it will sell well. ”

Lu Xun's original intention was to live in Guangzhou for a long time, and the Beixin Bookstore would naturally be opened. However, with the "purging of the Communist Party" in Guangzhou, the political situation took a sharp turn for the worse, Lu Xun resigned from all positions at Sun Yat-sen University, and the bookstore also went downhill rapidly. Xu Guangping later said: "But this gentleman doesn't want to open a bookstore anymore...... I thought it was very troublesome, so it was better to ask an acquaintance to get rid of it casually. ”

On the morning of July 15, I sent a letter to Li Jiye and Tai Jing Nong, as well as a postscript to "Chaohua Xishi" and a translation of "Little John". Sent a letter to Beijing Beixin Book Company and drafted it (i.e. "A Brief Discussion on Hong Kong"). Forward 5 copies of Jiang Shaoyuan's "Silk Language" 137 issues.
