Following the success of the first large-scale overseas roadshow of the year in Tokyo, Japan, in March, MGTO will launch the second leg of its overseas promotional activities in Singapore, including a presentation session and a four-day roadshow, and will take the lead this Thursday (25 December) to organise Macao's latest "tourism + MICE" product information promotion and business matching sessions, so that local residents and the industry can deepen their understanding of Macao's advantages under "tourism + MICE", attract more Singaporean leisure and MICE visitors to Macao, and expand into Southeast Asia's visitor source markets.

Trade associations of the two places jointly develop "tourism + MICE"

On 25 April, MGTO will bring Macao's tourism industry to Singapore to organise the latest product information promotion and business matching session of Macao's "Tourism + MICE Programme" to introduce the advantages of Macao's tourism and MICE industries to the local industry.

Macao's "Tourism +" Roadshow

Singapore's mega roadshow was held from 25 – 28 April at the Suntec Convention Centre. Inspired by the twisting of the dice, or magic cubes, the event created a unique space and showcased Macao's multicultural integration and unique "tourism +" elements with colorful key visuals.

A number of themed booths and interactive games were set up at the venue, as well as booths set up by the Hengqin Economic Development Board, Macao's six major integrated resort and leisure enterprises and Air Macau to promote the latest tourism facilities and products, allowing Singaporean residents to "experience Macao" from multiple perspectives.

Multi-faceted publicity to tap potential customers

In the first quarter, the average daily number of visitors to Singapore doubled

Singapore currently ranks 8th in Macao's international visitor source market. In the first quarter of 2024, 25,623 Singaporean visitors arrived to Macao, with the average daily visitor arrivals recovering to 82.6% of the same period in 2019 and an increase of 263.1% compared to the same period in 2023. At present, there are two airlines (Air Macau and Scoot) providing regular direct services, with a total of 2 daily flights between Macau and Singapore.

Offline promotion to attract international customers

In addition to the roadshow in Tokyo in March and the roadshow in Singapore in April, MGTO will hold roadshows in Jakarta (Indonesia), Seoul (Korea), Bangkok (Thailand) and Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) from May onwards to promote Macao's "tourism +" elements. At the same time, MGTO continued to participate in major regional and international travel fairs, helping to enhance Macao's international profile and maintain its visibility as a tourist destination.

Abundant offers to attract visitors to Macao

This year, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Macao Special Administrative Region, MGTO has launched the "Gifts Waiting for You" travel package for international visitors (excluding Greater China), giving away 250,000 gifts covering air tickets, cross-boundary transportation, hotel accommodation, dining, entertainment and show tickets, etc., in an effort to attract more international visitors to Macao. In particular, MGTO has partnered with Air Macau, Singapore Travel Service (Singapore Travel Agency) and Macao Travel Agency (MGTO) to launch various offers for Singapore's visitor source markets, actively attracting local visitors to Macao as the first choice for tourism.
