From April 18th to 19th, sponsored by the China Railway Trade Union, co-organized by the China Railway Staff Table Tennis Association, and undertaken by the trade unions of the 10th and 5th Bureaus of China Railway, the 5th "Pioneer Cup" Staff Table Tennis Competition (Finals) was successfully held in Jinan. Li Xiaosheng, vice chairman of China Railway Trade Union, and Li Jinggui, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and chairman of the trade union of China Railway Tenth Bureau, attended the opening (closing) ceremony. The competition consists of three events: team competition, men's singles and women's singles, with a total of 86 athletes from 28 teams composed of China Railway headquarters and its subordinate units.
In his speech, Li Xiaosheng pointed out that the competition is a competition named after the "Pioneer Cup", and it is a sports feast that blooms passion, shares skills, enhances friendship and exchanges feelings, fully demonstrates the passion and creation of China Railway employees in the new era, and highlights the iron shoulder responsibility of China Railway employees as "pioneers".
